You can spray it down with some lube (speed detailer) and store it that way, the lube will keep it from sticking to the baggie. That's another reason I like the clay mitts or towels because you just rinse them off and once they're dry just store them in the original packaging. I do give mine a light spray with lube just because you're only using it once a year and feel it helps keep it newer.
Wait a second... So this whole time we were talking about lube I wasn't supposed to slather Astroglide all over my truck and clay bar in my swim trunks? Instructions unclear.

Dave,
Referring to lube, I assume you mean the chemical spray that you apply to the spot before using the Bar? Mine is Meguiar's Quik Detailer Mist and Wipe. I am in a dry climate also and is there any issue with the lube drying out once you coat the Bar? Someone has suggested storing the Bar's in wax paper? Sounds like a good idea to use the clay mitts or towels...will try them next time :)
Paul, Yes that lube or any other lube just not Astroglide. lol :giggle:

I haven't used a clay bar in years and when I did I was back east and it wasn't as dry as it is out here. I've never heard about using wax paper but I'd be concerned about having a wax film left on the clay bar then using it on your truck. Give the mitt or towel a try as they're so much easier to use and you can cover more area with them making it less of a chore.

If I see @FoD and @AzScorpion, it’s a ticking time bomb in the thread for the word “damper”. Without fail. Every time. Damper service crew, reporting in :captain:

If you're talking about the one you helped me with the other night I have special plans for that one. Al would never agree to be part of the damper team.

BTW...I like your new occupation!

HAHA, no, meant the Poobah one for the Royal Order of Damper
If Al ever did get one I would name him the Grand Poobah for a whole year. Heck I'd make him an Eternal Member! ?

Well, that video post gives him a damper and a power pull up cable, so he's like forward/reverse dampered
