Oil change in 10minutes

Hi guys, i have a 2019 BI turbo and i find on the internet that i need to change my oil in just 10mintes! Is that true or not?

I've heard 8.
But thats likely from a super mechanic standpoint.
Im more of a lazy mechanic, I turn an oil change into an all day ordeal.

Bbq, beers and dancing.

The thing is that if you don't do the oil change in 10 minutes it's become an oil issue they said oil pump or something issue

If you add a damper you can cut that time in half. Have someone lower the tailgate as your oil is draining and it will force it out faster. The power of the damper is everywhere. ?

I assume the Op has a Australian version with the 3.2 diesel. Everything I can find on this subject is that if you drain the oil for more than 10 minutes, the pump can lose prime. I would contact a local Ford Service department or just read your manual. Also, from what I read, in some parts of the world, doing your own servicing "can" void the warranty. I think you should make darn sure what you are getting into and understanding what you are doing when changing the oil on that engine

Well seeing as none of us have this engine he really has the same access to info that we do. Either Google it or call a Ford dealership and ask which would be the safest bet.

No offense intended Dave. I think we get along well and I often enjoy your posts. But in cases like this I think it is better to just say what you said in the above quote instead making jokes about it. It doesn't really help the OP. But whatever. I'm not the boss of this place and I'm sure the OP can hold their own.

Well I have seen many post here from people that have Rangers not sold in it the US, Raptors and Wildtrak. So maybe one of them might chime in. This is a 5G forum but it seems to attract other Ranger owners.

None taken Augie. But really it's kind of common sense to just call your local Ford dealer and ask. I mean I wouldn't go into a foreign message board to ask a question about our 2.3 engines as no one would know. I think the only one here who would know would be possibly Alex @viperwolf. Maybe there should be a sub category for them?

I agree call an ask. But sometimes it is easier for people to ask on a message board first. I mean I have a lot of questions about a lot of things. The first thing I do is look for answers online because it is easier than being on hold with customer service and jumping through hoops. I mean this very forum is more or less based on search and ask before calling Ford. It is a collective of Ranger owners sharing information so in some cases they don't have to deal with "customer service".

True most Ford dealers are a PITA to deal with too. But here we all have the same Rangers (more or less) which makes it easier to ask a question and get an easy answer. There are so few on here that are ROTW Rangers it just seems more logical for someone like that to call their dealer first or Google it. That's just my 0.02 which is about all it's worth. ?
