Hi all,

I recently took my truck to the car wash and noticed the carpet on the wall of the cab was damp and it was only on the rear passenger side and the floor was dry. From research so far is it could possibly be the rear cab vents letting water through. Is there any tips or anything else I should look at to find how water is getting through?

I don't know for sure, but I thought I had read that the vents shut for recirculate... perhaps the one side is stuck open?

Possible that it was the vents. Inspect for debris or something keeping the vents open by looking down between the cab and bed. The vets open from inside out and will stay closed unless the A/C is not on recirculate. If the A/C was on anything higher than 2 and drawing fresh air then the vents would have been open and could have led to the leak.

Also check the rear sliding window if your truck is equipped. Had a similar issue and discovered the sliding window wasn't latched completely and would leak when taking it through the wash.

I havent looked at the sliding glass window yet I will do that next. I did look at the vents by pulling the carpet back a little bit as it is a tight spot to get to and saw what looked to be dirty water spots on the plastic vent.

Ill have to inspect the sliding glass window as well and make sure its sealed up correctly as well.

I appreciate it
