More SCabs on the market in Phoenix.

Hi all,
I've been trying to track down a new ranger to replace my 2019 Lariat SCab w/ FX4. While searching the Phoenix area, a lot more SCabs were listing at the higher end of the pricing scale, are they making a come back?

At the time I was looking, maybe back a year ago, there were plenty lariat scabs, just overpriced though. Maybe, that's why there were plenty.

Price hasn’t dropped for 2021, rebates are
practically non existent. Going price for lariat FX4 currently at 40k - 43k.

Definitely more crews than scabs. I think I read something like 20% of sales are scabs. I bought mine in march for just shy of 13% off msrp with discounts and incentives. That was right before the bottom dropped out so now prices are pretty high.

I had to order my Scab in May of this year. Everyone seems to be stocking only Screws.

They're still quite light on the ground here in the southeast. I had to order mine as the ones I do see are mostly base models.

I had to order mine last summer. They're still super rare around here, except for occasional fleet version that I'll see on the roads.

You would think dealers would try to keep some in stock and give the customer a chance to purchase what they really want. Not everyone needs a 4 door family truck.

There are 7 on the website of one of the places I looked, 2 of which were Lariats and both 2020 models. But that was on the border of SC and GA, 350 miles away. When I was there they had over 30 Rangers, now they have only 12 total. The supercabs seem to stay on the lots longer.

Where I purchased, they have only 2 Rangers total. Both Lariat 4x4s, one a supercab.

Dealer I got my SCAB from orders 1 for every 2 crewcabs they buy for inventory. They move them all too. Mine was on the delivery truck and when I bought it.

They gimped us with a lot of options. Must not be worth their time to give us all the features in Canada. No 4x2, no FX2, no Lariat long box extended cab. There were a few other things I can't recall at the moment too.

I am very pleased they still make the Screw. So few purchased compared to Scab. I could not deal with the 5' box, seems very impractical. Good thing they made the bed sides higher. Not sure in the States if you could still get the Single Cab with 7' box. Ford is offering it on the 6G platform. I see people wishing for a Screw with an extended bed. You can wish all you want. Ford is not going to make another frame for it.

I think you have that backwards, but I get your point.
