I've been on several gun forums like that. Once the questions answered it gets locked. Then someone needs to start another thread because they have other questions pertaining to the original one. Now you have 50 different threads talking about the same subject whereas if you just left the original one open you'd have one with 50 posts.

The search bar here isn't the most user friendly so it's easier to type your question into a Google search. Usually the first response comes from Ranger 5G on the topic you're search for.
I agree Dave. Same for Amazon. If you search for a specific item they shove their promoted featured crap that often times doesn't pertain to what the search was, but if I search Google low and behold the Amazon item pops up. Ebay has a much better search, not perfect just better and easier filters

We can always get back to talking politics. That never causes name calling and is always discussed in a civil and respectful manner.

Not many people will understand the reference to the cartoon
Not many are as old as you Terry. Wait, was that a dig, I can't tell anymore. Please don't ignore me, I'll be good, I promise. I don't want to put a damper on your otherwise good day. :bandit:

ive wandered into forums searching for info that have the heavy handed moderation.
as soon as it goes off topic, theres a warning.
as soon as the question is answered, the threads locked.
its zero fun to interact, simply because you have no opportunity to.
I quite a couple of them due to just that. I also hate the ones that require a moderator to look over your post before it gets posted. Must be Facebook taught moderators.

I find this place to be pretty laid back.

Then again, I'm probably one of the assholes you're bitching about.

Some people are just too sensitive.

Yeah, the fighting here is like the NBA. Some minor pushing. Other places are like hockey. Drop the sticks and fight.
