Mine is from Mastertech, 10 year / 100,000 mile bumper to bumper or something to that nature. Cost right at $3,000. I believe it kicks in after factory warranty expires. I'd have to dig out paperwork to recall the deductible, but it was pretty low dollar because the plan I got was like second to the the top tier they offer. (I think the only plan above mine was a $0 deductible deal, but around $5,000)

Interest Rate for my loan was 0%

I am averaging 4,000 miles per year on my Ranger (leisure vehicle only).

Based on averages I will hit the 10 year cap before even reaching the halfway point of the mileage cap. That is 12 more years from this year or something like that.

So I am paying a little less than $300 a year for the coverage. I dunno, never had this company before maybe they suck, maybe they don't.

On a side note I always get GAP insurance. I think for my vehicle total it was $800. Had I known back in March 2020 how the used car market was going to explode in 2021 I wouldn't have got it.

LOL
$3000 is steep. A plan similar through Flood Ford would be around $1800 (but for 8 years or 125K miles) for the bumper to bumper. Master tech seems to be a good company but I saw something about where you have to get repairs done was an issue. I would assume any dealer but don’t know why it’s a supposed issue for some.

Depends how long you plan to keep it. My opinion is that Ford has generally built shit transmissions for the past 20 years but they tend to crap out shortly after 100,000 miles which is how long most extended warranties last. Had one on my old Sport Trac which did pay for itself as it went through nine front wheel bearings, a radiator, and an alternator.

I’ll tell y’all when I became a true Ford believer (in the product, which is all I really care about). My dad was a Chevy guy and had a CK2500 service truck from his company. They put him in a new 2005 f250 with an always loaded down service bed. He proceeded to put 550,000 miles on that truck in 8 years with literally 1 alternator and a couple of batteries replaced..that’s it. That truck is still on the company lot running around with over 600k on it last I heard (don’t know what else it has needed since they put dad in a new, also flawless, 2014 f250 service truck, already 200k on it). He’s a Ford guy now too.

THANKS A WHOLE LOT I* went through the first link (FloodFordesp.com) The Zeiglerford was a little higher quote.
Just saved me over $1,000.00 from what the dealer wanted to sell me it for, and for a higher years/mileage term.
Added the key and lighting coverage also (probably was not on the dealer that quoted me either)
Hell, the LED head or tail lights will cost almost as much as the entire plan premium.
Ford Extended Service Plan Price PremiumCARE Contract
  • $100 Deductible
  • 8 Years
  • 100,000 Miles Coverage
  • -4x4 or All Wheel Drive Model
  • Interior/Exterior Lighting Coverage $75.00 extra
  • Key Replacement$80.00 extra
  • Total$1,565.00
Followed your lead and ordered from FloodFordesp.com... just ordered the 8 years for 75,000 (I barely reach 7,000 miles per year) , $50 deductible... added First Day Rental, Enhanced Rental and Interior/Exterior Lighting. Total after using my $210 FordPass points will be $1,310.

If you just bought the truck or you have the ford pass points you can reply to your confirmation email and ask them to apply them.
I had the 42,000 points they gave me when I bought the truck and they took an additional $200.00 off the price.

Yes, that's what I did. I paid the total, then once I got the confirmation email, I replied to it and said I wanted to use the $210 Ford Pass points to apply against it. Then I got an email reply that I was refunded the $210, so my final price was $1,310.

ACTUALLY . . . . . Zeigler was $50 cheaper! :) And you could have received ANOTHER $50 if you had called. I just bought my ESP today so I knew Zeigler was cheaper.

they should have taken off $210 if you had the whole 42,000 points available.

Zeigler would have been $1270, plus another $50 for just calling, so $1220.

Oh well, I'm out $40. I wouldn't have called not even to save another $50.... dread the thought of getting on the phone with a warranty salesman and having to go through the whole try to up sell dance. May be they aren't like that, I wouldn't know. I'm happy enough with what I got at the price I paid. Just won't stop and buy a coffee for a month :)

There really isn't any warranty "upsell"..... you're not in a finance office. You got a quote/called because you wanted an esp. You basically told them what you wanted, right? or if you ordered online, you selected what you wanted, right?

I ordered online.
They don't have to be in a finance office... they are still selling warranties. They can try to tell you how much safer and better off you would be to select higher mileage, more years, lower deductible, etc., etc.
Not saying they are like that, but I have in the past bought 2 extended warranties by phone.... turned out both were reputable... but I still remember the tactics to up sell. Just prefer online if possible. That's just how I feel about it, my preference.

I agree with you. Why do you have to call. Is it to justify having representatives? Why have a 50 online discount THEN have to call for an additional discount.
That's like when you want to cancel your Sirius radio on one or all of your cars, you cannot just do it online, you have to call them so they can try to sell you on something.
It may not be the case with Zeigler, but Why have to make that phone call in the first place. Personally, I prefer going directly through Ford.

FYI, Yours is a 4X2 (going by your signature) Mine is a 4X4. That said, I went back to the site and the difference between the two is $1,760.00 (4X4) to $1,390.00 (4X2). Before any discounts, which not sure where you found it. Also I cannot find where it states that you get an additional $50.00 if you call. Maybe you or someone else mentioned it in the four pages of comments. I personally don't go through every comment so I may have missed it. For me, it's too many games to play. IMHO..
That ALL SAID, I am Un-watching this thread. Time to come to a close...
