I received an email today from my tax person.

Since I was retired by an injury in the line of duty, my pension is disability income, which is not taxable, so I'll be able to order King 2.5s with adjustable compression damping, Deaver rear leaf springs, and Camburg UCAs, without coming out of pocket for any of it... :)

Although I am from a different country, I appreciate all that you and all other police officers do :like:

Thank you.

I have been shot, stabbed, attacked by pitbulls, and was retired by an injury in the line of duty that required reconstructive surgery and a year and a half of rehabilitative physical therapy.

It was an honor to serve.

And I am VERY thankful for my tax-free retirement and free medical for life.

Got one of those late night deliveries tonight. The kind where you're thinking, nah, no way it's coming this late.
Anywho, I'll be switching out my halogen bulbs in the fog lamps. Got some Auxito's H11 1:1 bulbs.
Sounds like they'll do well from what I've read around here.

Do these only work on Rangers with remote start?

Hi James,

There are two different key pads Remote start and No Remote start. So far I am unsuccessful in getting my key pad to work.

I don't think they are putting those on the new Lariats anymore.
Hi Dave,

I fear that the Lariat engine cover was deleted as another material cost reduction by the Plant Vehicle Team which is part of Ford Light Truck Engineering, but responsible for the production vehicle and located at the assembly plant.... Likely the only option is to order one from Parts and Service out of your Ford Points... Just like the center tie down deletion...not a smart move in my opinion. Sad to hear this "feature" was deleted...

Too bad the cover has been deleted to save money. Hell, we sure pay a top dollar for the Lariat. What's 50 or 60 bucks tacked on to a $40,000 purchase. SMH

Hi Dave,

Not sure what volume Lariat is, but lets say it is 25% of Ranger for the year. So 100,000 Rangers a year or 25,000 Lariats...times $50 is $1.25 Million.... When I was at Ranger....our volume was 340,000 so save a buck was worth $340,000 Things add up...not saying it is correct, but the math shows how saving a buck keeps Ford in the black....

I didn't say I paid that much but 2021 Lariat's are about $40,000 and they don't have the engine cover, check them out on line.

I understand the math but if the consumer pays a little extra it's not coming out of Fords profits. The Lariat is supposed to have all the bells and whistles.

So it was a $40,000 purchase, but you didn't pay $40,000 to make that $40,000 purchase?

Is Rod Serling involved in this somehow?

Sheepdog you must be in the twilight zone. You chopped my statement in half and didn't finish the quote (and they don't have the engine cover, check them out on line.) Besides if you look I have a 2019 not a 2021 which I was talking about.
