I think we need to look at what happened to the OP and realize we all need to be careful.

It's okay, buddy- I'm just glad everything is working out okay for you...I apologize to everyone for my actions on this forum, and to sheepdog... I owe him deeply... sheepdog, I apologize... I’m sorry if I took everything out on you... I’m stressed, and stressing even more... I apologize... ?
I am building off of this part of HM's comment and will speculate a little now. I think the low oil pressure warning was possibly a symptom of a failure already in progress. Since the damage is on one cylinder only, the likely culprit is LSPI as we have started to discuss (could be something else). A cracked or damaged piston/ring, or one with a hole, would cause your oil pressure to dropYour comments confuse me. You've talked now for weeks how you think it was the oil pump and that it wasn't your mod's.
The photo's show that there is damage inside the combustion chamber. That's not oil pump related.
Yup- torch a piston, and the resulting particles are going to end up plugging the engine oil pump pickup screen, reducing oil pressure to zero, triggering the engine oil pressure warning switch into illuminating the red "change engine" light in the dash...@Project Midnight

So your engine/cylinder may have already been failing from an LSPI event (or many) and once it failed you may have not been aware until the warning came on
Just speculating, not an expert. I was worried about this with my truck and after some research decided to run E20 mix before this thread had started. Still in the back of my mind sometimes
Excellent observations...@Project Midnight

I applaud your sticking up for yourself but that's what you get for airing your dirty laundry on social media. Everybody is an expert and knows exactly why you're wrong and they're right. Anybody and everybody who has spun a wrench is a Formula 1 chief mechanic on the net. Anybody and everybody who has circulated a race track is Giacomo Agostini on the net. It's pathetic but it's the net. Thanks for playing.Maybe you should do the math, rage aholic... have you ever broke down where I was?? I’m fucking guessing you haven’t!!! Come on down, I’ll take you for a FUCKING tour!!! YOUR’RE NOTHING SPECIAL HERE!!! Step off your totem, and realize, that sometimes, you have to make decisions..
maybe Ford should incorporate an " warning illegal SW flash detected, you have just voided your warranty" into sync 3 . or a flashing "tilt" light.Yup- torch a piston, and the resulting particles are going to end up plugging the engine oil pump pickup screen, reducing oil pressure to zero, triggering the engine oil pressure warning switch into illuminating the red "change engine" light in the dash...
Actually, I am a subject matter expert on some relevant stuff. But I know nothing about golf, football, or any other athletic games played with balls.Everybody is an expert and knows exactly why you're wrong and they're right.
I'm certainly not Ago. On my best day, I'd be a mid-pack expert, barely fast enough to be able to instruct other racers.Anybody and everybody who has circulated a race track is Giacomo Agostini on the net.
Hi Matt,Excellent little article on LSPI: Low Speed Pre Ignition: What Is It and Should You Be Worried? (wheelscene.com)
I also manually downshift into a lower gear if it starts trying to lug up a big hill in 9th or 10th during normal travel (I.E. high load/low speed) in order to control load. The Unleashed tune is pretty good at not lugging and downshifting itself, but these engines are so torquey they often refuse and keep lugging. One big reason why I went from 5-Star because they would not address this adequately.
no way!!! You ran the TT?? I’ve dreamed of it on my ZX-10R ?Actually, I am a subject matter expert on some relevant stuff. But I know nothing about golf, football, or any other athletic games played with balls.

But after touring the MV Agusta factory, located on the shores of lake Varese in northern Italy, I did choose Ago red over Ago silver for my new MV Agusta.![]()

And I have ridden the Snaefel Mountain Course on the Isle Of Man at triple-digit speeds during the TT.

I’ve noticed, that a lot of Ford engineers, and other engineers, retired etc. are following this thread. And a lot of discussion ensued... a lot of debate...
Hi Matt,
