I got a tray insert for the center console, different than the ones everyone else has been getting. Also got the Ford rolling tonneau cover. Immediately took it to a car wash and that thing barely let any water in. Slight trickle at the highest pressure car wash in my area. It’ll be perfect for rain and snow no doubt.

Installed today the AUTOSTOP ELIMINATOR !

I looked at all the options to get rid of the autostop and I decided to go with this little electronic gimmick. Works great !

Then I went online and spend the next $$$ for some nice Nerf Bar Steps. More things to install...

AFE charge pipes went in today and I am very with the results. The drivability factor is my favorite part. Partial throttle inputs at low rpm is really nice, no more lugging sensation. Power gains are great, low to midrange torque is most noticeable. I noticed a gain on the high-end too, but likely helped by the combination of the air-raid intake. Cold-side pipe was a pain like usual, just took my time. I think AFE sent me a used set of pipes. Thread locker residue on the colds-side port, and residue inside the pipe. Almost looked they were injecting methanol... That being said I would probably push you toward the mishimoto pipes... but a fun mod none-the-less!!

Once again it was time for a wash and spray wax. It sits a lot, but it still gets dirty in the car port. I also treated the tonneau cover.

They’re the Auxito 12,000lm LEDs. Honestly, they’re a big improvement over the halogens, but the picture makes them look brighter than they look in person.

Installed a Bugflector II

Washed the truck using the 2 bucket method with Meguiars car wash and dried with microfiber towels. Waxed the hood and the area that the Bugflector would cover before installing it. Will clay bar where needed and wax the rest of the truck after next wash to get ready for the summer. I don't like washing vehicles but am too particular to take it to an automated car wash.

I followed this excellant Ranger installation video to succeed:
Bought the cheapest tool I could find (at Harbor Freight) to remove the fasteners: $7.00. It was too thin and flimsy but got it to work without breaking any of the fasteners. A better choice would be: https://amzn.to/3bXmETe

It was a tricky for one person to get the Bugflector positioned for installation but was able to manage. The fastening system used by AVS makes the Bugflector very stable.

Gave her a bath and applied a coat of The Last Coat to shine her up and give her additional protection for the rest of winter. Also put the running boards back on since the worst of winter is now over. I hope! ?
