I'm not a mechanic but i'm excited to have just installed this dual exhaust. A couple of years ago I installed a Cobb exhaust on my fiesta st and this one was a little more challenging. I just used some rhino ramps to prop up the back tires and crawled underneath, plenty of room to move around. I think unit is of good quality. I did have some trouble while trying to reinstall the passenger side tail pipe isolator to the frame, it was a little difficult to get the positioning just right. Then one of the 2.5" clamps didn't get tight enough to secure the tailpipe to the y-pipe. So I had to disassemble and try that clamp on the tailpipe on the other side and that worked a little better but took longer than expected.
I drove it around the block a couple of times, then went back under to re-tighten the clamps and get the positioning just right. In the pictures you'll see I have the tips sticking out just a little bit. I'll probably push those in a little to look more subtle. What do you guys think?
The sound is pleasant, start-up is not to loud, don't want to wake my neighbors. No drone when cruising. Overall pretty mild but definitely louder than stock. The stock lariat cabin noise is comparable to a prius in my opinion, plus the pumped in noise from the speakers.
This is my daily driver. I'll probably never take it off road. I chose the dual exhaust because I like the way it looks and this MBRP does not have an aggressive tone.
