I originally gave up on this but while at the dealer today for another issue, I asked what they would charge for install. They stated that I must purchase the kit through them and install would be $359 including alignment ($109). I really dont understand the vast differences in pricing from dealer to dealer. If I ever decide to do this, it will be here at this dealer. Now if I can get the parts department to price match Levitt maybe I will consider it again.

I received 3 quotes

1 4wheel drive parts was 550-600 because they weren’t purchased from them with out intrusion beams done.

2 a shop my buddy recommended was 450 + 100 with intrusion beams.

3 my local line-x shop that also owns rangers and does the work for my dealership 390$ for everything total.

shop around! I have my appointment this Saturday 9am lol.

Got my kit in today and the dealer I bought my Ranger from quoted me $503 with alignment. Gonna go with it because my Ford points should bring it down $210.

That’s crazy pricing! My son needed new shocks in his 2015 F150 4X4. I do have the spring compression tool but he decided to get Ranchero mounted adjustable gas shocks that would give him a 3” lift from stock. Think he paid like $450 for the pair shipped. I gave him pointers and a little help and he did the job himself in about 4 hours. Already had appointment for alignment setup for next day. Done deal. After aligning brought home truck and then did rears that are also adjustable ones. So his total for parts was about 650ish and his time.

Honestly, it’s not that difficult to do. He never saw it done before and did job without any issues. Those shocks are awesome too!

I'm a Journeyman Red Seal Tech. I removed both front struts, took them apart and installed my BDS lift kit, re-installed in 2hours - wheels up to wheels down. In my garage without a hoist on a Sunday morning. Rear shocks took me 20 minutes for the pair. A hoist probably would have saved me 30 minutes. Any shop charging more than 2.5-3 hours is just wrong. Front end alignment cost me $49.95 the next morning(only the toe setting will change if you don't mess with the control arms). Just my 0.02

Hey Guys,
I am looking at the Fox 2.0 kit from Ford Performance to replace stock equipment. Local dealer just quoted me $1400 for the kit, which I expected, plus $1120 in labor. $1120 in labor seems very steep for this job is it not? They also gave me the option of installing the Rough Country kit as an alternative to save cost ($600) but still the same labor. No mention of alignment either so I assume that is extra. They didnt itemize the labor so unsure how many hours they are billing for.

What are people getting for labor pricing? I could probably change the rears myself, but the front I wont touch. I am also concerned with warranty and keeping that intact, though the shop said that any modification Ford could deny the claim. It was my understanding that the Ford kit with Ford installation would keep the warranty intact. Is that not the case?

I was expecting in the $1800-$2000 range for this to be done. Am I out of line here?

Thanks!
My mechanic has quoted $1450 +tax for the 4 set of Bilstein 5100, a secondary level kit and alignment, that's parts and labor. I have a clearance problem for my garage so we are starting with a 2 inch lift. If I have room he will add a bit more ( not to exceed 1 more inch and he will machine the lower plate down to half inch and install it for free. Then alignment.

If I did it I would have to buy several hundred bucks worth of tools, do it in a none heated frozen garage and take me a day or more working alone. Not made of money but I would rather pay a trusted small business I've known most of my life vs a huge dealer.

My dealer in Orlando is quoting $1,495 for the Fox 2.0 kit and $375 labor for my 2019 RWD Lariat. I already have a Wulf 2.5 level kit with 18' Vision Nemesis Wheels and 275/65/18 Ridge Grapplers with slight rub on right front at full reverse turn. I am contemplating the suspension upgrade for the suspension upgrade and if there is some additional lift in this kit that eliminates the rub. Also, interested in whether or not I can add the electronic rear locking differential. I don't see that as an accessories. Thoughts or advice? Thanks

That's a decent install price. What dealer is it in Orlando and who did you talk to?

Jarrett Gordon Ford in Davenport 27/I4 quoted me $359 install providing I buy the kit from them. Best I could find in the area. Once I get my truck fixed up from small warranty issues, I will probably move on that. $375 is a good price as well. Others in the area quoted me over $1k just for install.

It's an online price from Ford Accessory. My Dealer is Greenway Ford. I have not talked directly to them yet, but have an appointment this Friday. Also have some points I might be able to use. Stage 3 Motor Sports has the same kit for $1,199. Might try to negotiate pricing too.

I would use Levitttown Ford pricing for negotiation. Last I checked the Stage 3 kit wasn't the Ford Performance kit. Different in ride height and Ford only honors the warranty for the Ford Performance kit. If warranty is important to you that is.

Thanks for the info. I looked at Levittown pricing and it's pretty close to Stage 3, but I only see 4WD kit. Assuming that kit will work with RWD. When you say ride height difference, is that to say one kit rides higher than the other? Which one and will it solve my slight rub issue? Warranty is important, at least for another year!

The Ford Performance kit is set to a 2" ride height in the front. The Stage 3 is set to 3". I believe this has to do with the UCA and stress on those components. Also helps to prevent the nose high ride. Cant answer your question about the rubbing part though. If yours is currently at 2.5", its probably not going to help.

Appreciate the info. I know right where that is. I previously purchased 2 vehicles from one of their other dealerships Jerrett Scott Ford in Plant City. Great sales experience both times and a great service department.
