Has anyone seen the Velocity Blue in the Ranger AND in an F-Series side-by-side???

We took a small road trip today and were only about 25 miles away from a dealer who was the only one anywhere near us that showed a '21 Ranger in the Velocity Blue. Unfortunately, when we got there, one of the salespersons looked it up and determined it was en route. He did point us to a new SuperDuty in the lot that had the Velocity Blue color. (I verified this in the window sticker.) Just wondering if this color is exact to both models. I am guessing it is because the Cactus Grey and Cyber Orange look the same in the Bronco, but we know what happens when we assume, eh?

PaintRef.com. shows that the same paint codes, formula (both Ford and supplier PPG) and name is used on all Ford models that are available in this color. As you can see, Jaguar-Land Rover use the same base and add or subtract more metallic and/ or gloss, depending on the vehicle and year.

Well, obviously, I knew that! Thanks for this link as I would have have had zero idea this site even existed. I guess we can say that they are one and the same. Just smaller in the Ranger!

Over on Mustang6G, someone took a pic of 2 mustangs side by side with these 2 different blues. Velocity Blue looks barely lighter than Lightning Blue.

Yeah, you can really see a difference just comparing a 2020 build up against a 2021 build, but you never know until you see it in person, right? I mean, that Cyber Orange looks different depending on what side of it you stand on and the Cactus Grey picks up whatever color is next to it! I'm almost wishing ol' Henry would just tell me my only choice was black, then I'd be settled!

I saw Velocity Blue on an Escape. That is when I decided not to order that color. I am a fan of Lightning Blue, but could not warm up to the Velocity Blue. YMMV.

I love the Lightning Blue and I'll have to see the Velocity Blue in person before I can determine if I like it or not. I know the lighting throws it off but by these pictures it a lot lighter than LB.

So, we discovered the Ford dealer nearby had a Velocity Blue Ranger in stock and drove down to see it. We both liked it a LOT! It looked pretty good on its own, but with all the black of the Tremor plus the black tonneau cover, it will be definitely a winner. Still would love to see it side-by-side with the Cyber Orange, but I'm thinking blue will win.
