The biggest thing you need to ask yourself is what are you really looking for in your truck to help you select the right tune for your truck. Why do I say this? Because not all Tunes out there for the ranger are equal. If you're looking to build the world's fastest Ranger which you have a lot to go by the way then you would be best with a custom tune with a bunch of different aftermarket parts bolted onto your truck. If you're looking for a safe reliable tune that you can install on your truck where you can still Tow and gain power I would suggest either the Ford performance tune Roush tune or the livernois's tow tune. Why do I State those three? Ford performance and Roush have already stated that you can tow with their tunes and Livernois built a do specific tune that works very well. I myself currently run the Livernois Sho tune and I have had it on for close to 20,000 miles and I will say that the results have been great with it. One thing to also keep in mind with a tune it is at your own risk and you do risk losing warranty with most Tunes.

Hope this helps

So has anyone run the different tuners against each other? That would be a hoot to see....Two stock Rangers one tuned with the Livernois 91-93 performance tune, the other with the Unleashed 93 high performance tune. I would like to see that on youtube

Did Ford Performance state somewhere that towing is okay? I read somewhere on the site that mentioned "towing not recommended".
One of the other members contacted Ford performance and they told him that it is okay. It's on one of the other threads I just can't remember which one.

I don't think there's any one tune that is the best. There are a few top tuners out there and each one has a great tune(s) available. If you're concerned about warranty go with the Ford tune. Livernois and Unleashed are two other great tunes and I know there a several others but you're going to get many opinions which we all know are like asses and everyone has one.

From all the reading I've done on here before getting mine (Livernois) I would go with either them or Unleashed. I love mine but it looks like the Unleashed might have more power and more options to fine tune it from what @Doc has posted with his dyno results.
I feel safe with Livernois and one reason is they don’t tweak their tunes. They may not have the highest HP but don’t tell my Ranger that....she’s looking for an Unleashed Ranger to play with ?
