For most of us who already have our Ranger, this information is not a big deal. For those looking to order or on the fence of buying a Ranger you might want to consider this in your calculations. The pinch point in demand comes through Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing CO (TSMC). Demand for chips soared 50% due to the pandemic as many folks upgraded computers to work from home. Auto manufactures incorporate JIT (Just In Time) inventory practices and thus can get caught flat footed when an unexpected shortage occurs. The Ford plants in Kentucky (Escape) and one in Germany (Focus) are currently idled. Just FYI

Sorry AZ Scorpion, I didn't see this before. CNBC had a big discussion of this topic yesterday. It is real now.
No problem Chris, I saw this on another forum. This is just a reminder that we really need to be free from China to keep our country rolling but unfortunately it's not going to happen.

Unfortunately this is a global thing and we are part of a global economy, like it or not. The US for better or worse will never be an isolated economy again. Also unfortunately, when we were an isolated economy, we raised our standard of living so high compared to the majority of the rest of the world. When we had to join the global economy, we had to come down to meet them. A hard adjustment, we should have seen coming, but didn't prepare for. We are no longer a producer, but a consumer, because we priced ourselves out of the global market.

Hard to hear but true.:frown:

I agree Lee. We now get to fall with everyone else. I just see bad things on the horizon which I hope I'm just being pessimistic about.

I've had these thoughts for a while. Always said the adjustment was going to hurt us more than the rest of the world, but I'm just a little peon, what do I know. Now I'm seeing it come true. Scary isn't it?

Not as scary as all the expected tax increases, social reengineering and flight of business enterprise and capital is going to be I imagine...

Very scary and sad. We finally made advancement bring manufacturing back and now it seems to have been a waste. I guess we'll see in the near future the reality of everything.

Well everyone knows that taxing the rich is always the solution. /S:lipssealed: The flight of business has me worried the most. Not for my business but for the country as a whole...It won't be good!

Things are gonna change boys, that's for sure. I'm just gonna keep my head down, and not draw any attention to myself. Just stay in my own little corner of my own little world.:)
