Installed the Boomba Racing aluminum pieces under the hood. No reason beyond they look great and I love machined aluminum (hence my addiction to buying American made fly reels).

Finally, I have something to post here. Nothing as exciting as you folks, but I'm going out of town tomorrow & will return late so I asked my husband to put some deer whistles on my Ranger. I pray it helps!

I have only had those on one other vehicle (oddly enough the only other Ranger I've owned) put on by previous owner and it was the only time I've hit a deer. Maybe installed backwards?:)

What did I do to her? First, I did what you see below in the videos. Then I spent the better part of an hour wrestling with a power washer to get her clean ?

Well, I made it home without hitting one, but the deer standing beside the road looking at me did not seem impressed.:frown:

Finally got to my bedlights, used the NiLight strips cut down to 47” and used the under bed power supply hard wired. I decided to stick them to aluminum “U” profile, only needed an 8ft section which set me back $10. The profile fit perfect over the edge of my BedRug and gave the lights a nice solid base. Then I used good 3M tape to adhere them to the bed sides.
Here’s a few pics of the installation.

Pretty happy with the outcome.

Very interesting install. I did not realize you could cut those LED strips like that. I just wrapped the extra on mine around the head of the bed, kind of behind the bedrug. When I installed mine I used the 3M tape to adhere the LEDs to the underside of the bed cap. I will be curious to see how yours holds up, or if the weight of the lights makes the bedrug sag down.

Your install looks very professional. I've been extremely happy with mine. Used them just last night in fact!

The light strips have little scissors on them where they can be cut. I cut the cases and strips to the length of the aluminum profile and then reached up inside with hemostats and pulled them down a bit and cut them close to the scissor marks.
The aluminum profile is so light and it’s actually adhered to the bedside, the BedRug is just tucked into the channel.
The upper Velcro holds the BedRug in place. I think I will not have any issues.

Even better - that makes more sense now - very nice, clean installation! I think you will be happy with it.

Installed my bed lighting today. Bright white LED lights, 3 strips down each side plus 2 behind cab under the Retrax cover. Wired to a small black Rocker switch on drivers side tailgate pillar, hooked to box ignition power. Wires all loomed and up under the cover side rails. Took me an hour- think it turned out great. Definitely bright !

Hope you like it as much as I like mine...Dont really have any water leakage to speak of, from driving in rain, or car washes, tho it's in the garage overnight. Only once so far I removed it to use the full bed...
