It can ... but there is adequate gap to wash and wax the hood.
Like enough to get your hand between the deflector and hood right?

That's convenient...thanks for the pics...so it must stick out forward from side view right? Does that look strange? Can I ask a favor for pics from the side? thanks again!

I had the Line-X bed liner installed yesterday.

I also bought and installed the console tray everyone is mentioning.

And, last but by no means least...

I do not have the damper, but I find the new tray for the console, has improved the ride on the Ranger and I find I have more traction on my tires.

Did a quick run to my hometown, Lake City MN. Saw that the water was like glass, and figured may as well get a picture of my Ranger, "Builder" along the water there. This is Lake Pepin/Mississippi River., and Wisconsin across the river. Lake City is the Birthplace of Waterskiing!

2 days ago I completed install of the BDS Intrusion Bars. The Truck body was installed AFTER the intrusion bars so they are "trapped" by the body. Major PITA . I did not remove the front bumper as advised in the instructions. Just hacked the factory bars w/ angle grinder and Sawsall. Pulled them out. Then installed the BDS Bars w/ very minor trim of lip of rear of the front wheel well which is covered by the factory "Wheel Opening Molding". (That was also a PITA to get off, could find ZERO Instructions anywhere about how to get the damn things off so did bust a couple of the mounting parts but they reinstalled w/o obvious floppyiness).

TODAY ... Retrieved truck from Desert Rat on Palo Verde In Tucson https://www.desertrat.com/p-30565-about-us.html . Justin was the Shop guy I did not meet, as he'd left for the day. He completed install up front of the BDS 3.5" Lift Kit (Spacers up front) w/ UCA's. (The UCA's are SUPER FINE Parts, weighed a ton when I picked them up - no idea how weight compares to the stock ones.) I also had him delete the anti sway bar for improved articulation. In the rear he installed the BDS Nx2 Shocks & 1" Shackle Lift . All lifts were full so I crawled around under the truck to inspect the work. It is FACTORY Looking - VERY VERY PRO, super clean.

ALSO, Desert Rat gave me a SUPER price on 4, 295/70 R17 TOYO Open Country R/T Tires (33.3 inflated diameter). He did have to remove the mud flap looking thingies in front of the tire due to contact w/ tire when turning. Otherwise ZERO Scrub Zero Rub. I do not know if there will be scrubbing when fully articulating but doubt it and look forward to testing in real off road world conditions. I left a tip w/ Ryan for Justin for the good work he did.

I will add pics of the truck when it is light tomorrow. The truck looks TALL w/ the tires (+1.25" Spacers). They barely stick outside the body panels. MAYBE when these tires are bald I will see if I can stuff in 305/70 R17's. I bet they will fit!

On the way home I felt the tires were a bit hard. They were inflated to about 40 PSI. I dropped the rears to 30 PSI and the Fronts to 35 PSI. Still plenty firm but a little easier ride in these load range E tires.
