My tires are a mess. Usually I have no trouble cleaning them but now I can’t get them clean. Can’t tell if it is dirt that stained the tires or tire dressing residue.

I have used Wesleys Bleche White, Simple Green, and solvents. I have tried pressure washing and scrubbing. Even used a brush on the end of a drill and scrubbed away. No luck.
I have heard that Mothers Back to Black Tire Renew is a great product. I can’t find it locally but can find Mothers Back to Black Tire Cleaner. Went to Mothers site and can’t find the tire renew listed. Did Morhers change the name? Are they the same product?

anything else I should be trying.
Thanks

I have tried all the usual cleaning methods for the hankooks. Usually I hit the tire and wheels with p&s iron remover. Scrub them and follow up with a tire dressing. The hankooks don’t stay clean no matter what. Dingy and stained looking a day after cleaning them.

I used ArmorAll Tire Foam on the previous set of Hankooks I had on my Tacoma. It works but I found I needed to use it like every other week.

I haven't used it on my Ranger... I'm afraid it'll mess up the clear coat on the wheels.

John, I've been using the same stuff for quite a few years, and it hasn't caused any problems with the clear coat. I do keep a damp cloth with me, and wipe any overspray off the wheels as I go.

I'm with you Sid - I hate the "shiny" tire goo.

How long does that stuff last? I was using 303 on the tires but it isn't lasting too long. I also found a spray on tire dressing that just makes the tires black, not shiny - the problem is that it attracts dust, so when I drive down gravel roads the tires look even worse.

It'll give you a nice satin natural, new tire finish until you drive in the rain...in my experience, rain really messes up every tire no matter what you use...I used to use Griots but it's expensive and hard to apply just the right amount without going Jerry...this new stuff is working well so far...

It's only a cleaner Sid. You just apply whatever finish you want after. I use this satin finish.

Jerry Shine. lol

Really like the 303 tire coating/protectant. Not nearly as impressed

Surprised because I've always had good results with it. I do usually have the white letters in so that might not be the best test. The reviews are really good though. ?‍♂
