I haven't fully tested the wind noise yet, but the textured rubber insert on top is supposedly designed to help. There are also strips provided to close gaps on the bottom, too. When I first installed the racks, I didn't have time to get those rubber strips put in. With that big groove in the top, it started to HOWL at 30 mph and just got louder from there! Maybe it helped keep me from hitting deer! Anyway, the inserts were in the next day and its quiet up to 55 mph. Above that, I haven't checked yet.
I should say that I have used Yakima round bars on various vehicles for probably 35 years, so I am accustomed to a little noise. :)

Once I moved it back towards the rear more, there was a lot less wind noise, and it didn't leak in the rain. I'm not keeping it permanent up there. I'd still like a more permanent mount for it.

UPDATE - I have been over 75 mph (no - I wasn't going after toilet paper) and I had some wind noise but it was very minor.
It wasn't an objectionable howl at all.
My wife didnt even notice it until I pointed it out.

The socket Rhino Rack looks really good!

I took a different path, OEM Ford Wildtrak rails so yea, I know what you mean about taking a drill to the roof!

Best I can tell, unavailable in the North American markets.

Found a breaker in the UK that was parting out a Wildtrak.

Bought the rails used, (shipping from UK as much as the rails), had then powder coated to match the Magnetic Gray and installed.

Very pleased.

May have to repeat the process, lost the left front cap to a hunk of road debris that got tossed up. No other damage to the truck so can't complain.

I'm thinking about installing rails to the cab top to install a cargo basket for light gear, etc.
Thule has a product here:
https://www.thule.com/en-us/roof-ra...and-accessories/thule-top-tracks-42-_-6238999

And Yakima's product is here:
https://www.amazon.com/YAKIMA-Tracks-CapNuts-Roof-Systems/dp/B07YVN236L
And while several vendors on eBay claim compatibility for the Australian/European Ranger roof rails, (and they look great) I'm not sure I want to go that route.
Anyone out there already have experience with installing one of these systems to the roof of your Ranger?

Looking good! Really wish Ford had them as a option here.

Roof rails are on darn near all SUV's and except for the Nissan Frontier, unavailable on pickup's. Makes no sense.

I ordered these off eBay/Taiwan and had them shipped to the states. It wasn’t too hard to install just took a few hours of not rushing through it.

This is what I got from Rack Attack:
MiscItem: Rhino - RR Tracks - RTS525
Rhino-Rack Quick Mount Leg x4
Rhino-Rack Quick Mount Base Wedge 10mm
Rhino-Rack Quick Mount Base Wedge 5mm
Rhino-Rack Vortex Bar Black 59 inch
I think the total price was actually $587.60
The stock system from Rhino includes 54 inch bars. I just made sure Rack Attack provided the 59 inch bars. One of the reps I spoke to said he couldn't "guarantee that the 59's would work" but I can tell you that they do.
Rhino's instructions were generally good.
I used 10-24 Plusnuts instead of the Poprivets supplied. Those Plusnuts required a 9/32 drill bit.
Drilling that many holes in a new truck roof was somewhat nerve-racking. :whew:
prinsu is only about $100 more isn;t it?
