No, too strong. I want to find a way to improve the acceleration response when starting driving from a red light to pass other slow car. Sport mode is too strong for what I need. I added a Stage 1 performance module but it does nothing. Thank you for your responce.

I think I remember someone commenting about using tow/haul around town for situations like that, don’t quote me on that though

Livernois has several different tunes available. If you're just looking for better acceleration and a little more power you can use either their 87-89 or 91-93 soft shift tune. It will still shift nice and smooth like stock but you will have way better acceleration and gets rid of the turbo lag.

Now the good thing is they will send you all their tunes to try out and you can pick which one works best for you. You'll also get free lifetime tunes and updates.

I've wondered if you just bought one specific tune or if you got them all to swap for specific needs (towing, fuel economy, drag strip, etc.)

You get all their tunes at no extra cost,I received 5 tunes. It only takes about 2-3 minutes to flash a new tune. This way if you'll a conservative soft shift tune for daily driving and a performance tune for weekend fun. Some/most other companies charge you extra per tune.

So far I've only run the 91-93 performance tune and find it good for my DD. We're going to Utah in October and will be doing some off roading and will be flashing it once there to the tow tune so it's not so aggressive.

I myself have the Livernois tow tune as well. What i have noticed is when you first start up and the AC is running you starts will be slow. After the AC calms down(cab gets cooled off) then you have plenty of power. If you turn the AC off then power is no problem. This may be the same way for stock. Worth giving it a shot.

Where did you get that EcoBoost decal for your hood? I dig it.

Easy fix.

Hold your left foot on the brake at the stop light. When you think the light is getting ready to turn green, put your right foot on the accelerator, but keep holding the brake so the truck won't move. Also if you give it too much throttle you might start to spin the tires.
when the light turns green, release your left foot from the brake while simultaneously mashing the accelerator to the floor with your right foot. Your truck should jump off the line pretty well and get ahead of most other cars, unless they're also trying to race.

Also helps if you're not using your phone at the stop light,
Since most other people are these days, just paying attention makes it pretty easy to get a jump in front of most people.

good luck.

Also I'll say if sport mode is 'too much' then I don't think buying an aftermarket tune is necessarily what you're looking for.... ?
