Coolant Color and Type

Anyone look at their coolant in their bottle and what the manual specifies.
Manual states Motorcraft orange. But a later printing for 2019 specs Motorcraft Yellow. Then the manual for a 2020 Specs Motorcraft Orange.
WTF.

Best part is the coolant in my bottle I swear looks green. Brand new leftover 2019 Truck btw. With build date in 11/19.

Don't really need any, I just like to have a spare bottle laying around.

There was definitely a mid-cycle enhancement on the 2019 for the coolant color change. Orange was the old one that Ford was using for a while and has now superseded to the yellow coolant. Ford actually has a bulletin saying that the yellow is able to replace the orange and mixed with it with no problems. Also in my honest opinion I hate the orange coolant because if I'm not mistaken it is the same stuff as the Dex-Cool from General Motors and that is known to cause many cooling system failures. Thankfully my truck is part of the mid cycle enhancement that has the yellow coolant so I don't have to worry about changing it as often even though I probably will just to help with a maintenance overall.

It's okay some of the yellow coolant will look green just because that's how things are. Sometimes the green coolants will also look yellow if set in the right position of light.

The Orange coolant was slowly phased out and now Ford doesn't have the Orange coolant anymore. They have replaced it with the Yellow coolant and have stated that it can be mixed with no problems.

I do not belive so sir. Do yourself a favor and go strait to tue dealer for the coolant. It is not very expensive at all.
