Installed the ram mount for my phone. Track plate is bolted to the tray. Took the tray out and drilled a couple holes. Such a solid mount and I don't have to worry about adhesives going bad.

I cannot take credit for this idea. Another member on here came up with the idea (i.e. WLFPIR8)

Did you secure the track to a plate underneath the tray (e.g., a thin sheet of aluminum), or were washers enough? Do you know what size/length bolt?

Washers were enough, but a plate could be a good idea if you plan on using the plate for anything that might weigh more than two iphones.

I had some nuts, bolts, and stuff just laying around that I used. Had to cut the bolts. I can post the drill bit size I used tomorrow.
