Although I haven’t open and closed my bed much but I always used my key in the fob to do it...so that’s what I’ve done today hahaAwesome feature for a hard tonneau, or regular tonneau for that matter, rest easy with some level of easy security. Not proud...however after roughly a month I discovered the bed locks and unlocks with the doorsAlthough I haven’t open and closed my bed much but I always used my key in the fob to do it...so that’s what I’ve done today haha
I used this as a guide:MK842766...Looks great, I'm planning to do this. I did the front, it was easy cause I bought a Lariat grill to replace the XLT so I had lots of time to do the paint, many coats, and clear coat. I'm hesitant on the tailgate cause it will be off a while. I'm retired too so things take as long as I want! Couple questions, how hard to get off without breaking anything, and how long was it off while you did the paint! And did you do the large chrome oval housing the backup cam? I can't tell from the pic...Maybe there's a thread on this mod...Thanks...

Phil Sounds like a good idea. What brand replacement lug nuts did you use? thanks in advance for your help....PeteHi Folks,
Today I replaced all the two piece lug nuts on the Ranger and also on the the Lincoln MKX... The new ones are solid and not prone to the swelling phenomena of the OEM Ford lug nuts. Not one of Ford's finest ideas for sure. Ranger lugs are 12mm X 1.5 and the MKX are 14mm X 1.5. Ranger at 100 ft. lb. MKX at 162 ft lb (Yikes!).

Yep. I was in the tire industry during the 80's and 90's. Many manufacturer's were using this type of lug nut then. They were a royal pain. Impact wrenches are what accelerates the expansion of these covers.Hi Folks,

I just ordered the Roush cold air intake from them as well. Agree on the prices.Installed Turbosmart BOV Kompact Dual Port
Anticipating some questions:
Bought at Stage3MotorSport
It took about 10 minutes to install
I already have the Borla Performance Cat-Back exhaust S-Type system installed
Yes i felt the difference right away, this combination of mods pushes you back on your seat
Next mod to finish this power improvement will be the Roush Cold Air Intake, delivery delays over @LevittownFordParts.com (these guys have the best prices, so i will keep waiting) and the AFE Intercooler Pipes (Bladrunner 3”) also delivery delays @Stage3Motorsports
Not sure if I will do the Ford Performance Tune, waiting on some more conversation about the improvements in these blogs.

Thank You Phil. Did the supplier give you a number to for the extra lug nuts?Hi Pete,
I searched on Ebay for 12mm x 1.5 and found ones for Ford Focus that were chromed solid lug nuts
https://www.ebay.com/itm/402004218165?ViewItem=&item=402004218165
I had to ask the seller for 4 more lugnuts and when they arrived, I measured thread depth 60° cone angle etc. They were an exact match for the two piece OEM Ranger lug nuts. Another fourm member would not buy these as they did not list Ranger....I took chance, being pretty sure they would work and they do... Bit of a problem for the MKX as the replacements are 22mm and the vehicle lug wrench is for 21mm....sigh....
