I installed it yesterday and it's definitely a huge improvement to both power and shift points. It is able to adjust for my 33 inch tires as well. I did have an issue with it reading the factory calibration, I had to contact Ford Performance and they updated something on there end so I could update the ProCal tool.
Good to know, Matt, thanks for sharing. Mine is still on order....

That is good to know. I was wondering if it would let you select a size larger than 265/70/17.

It has you type in revs per mile. It should be able to adjust for pretty much any tire you could want.

Have you always ran 91+ octane prior to installing the tune? Curious to see if the noted improvements are less noticeable if you regularly run premium fuel. Thanks in advance.

K&N filter install was easy as well. It installed in the round filling bin without even taking it out of the box.
Why did your round file the KYN?

I've been using 91 for a couple months.

K&N compares their filters to aftermarket replacement filters, not OEM and I know how terrible the flow of a parts house filter is. If someone could actually prove it offers increased airflow without compromising the ability to filter I would install one. Until then I'll stick to Motorcraft filter.

Hey boys -

New to the forum. Purchased my kit from Levittown Ford and I dropped my truck off my local ford dealership to install. Getting a little worried. They quoted me 1 hour called me back saying they highly recommended that I install it myself. Stating that they have to create logins and it would be better if I did that. I told them Ford is offering X warranty as long as they install. They said thats fine, two hours later they called me again saying the procal tool locked up during programming. My last conversation with the dealer they said this happens with the mustangs and they have to call ford, get them to clear the engine coding and then get a new code.l for the procal. I wish I know if they were full of shit or if this is a real problem.

So far it’s been a mess. Wish me luck.

Thanks for the response Phil. Yea I had a feeling to look for another dealer to install it. I’ll call them tomorrow and hopefully they can just factory reset it and I can find a dealer that knows what there doing.

Still a little nervous after they called me and said the truck won’t start right now.

Everyone is stating that they want the Ford Performance tune over other tunes because they understand the tune better than anyone and offer a warranty. Stands to reason that Ford Performance would not include the K&N unless they felt it was a quality filter that offers better performance. Just saying. ?

I honestly don't have an answer for why it's included. I don't claim to know any better than a Ford Engineer but it my be a marketing thing because everyone else offers a kit with a filter or intake kit. I went with this kit because I work at a Ford dealer. I have also seen a lot of issues caused by all brands of aftermarket air filters.

Hope everyone is well. Quick question. Would it smart to combine the Roush CAI and the Performance Pack?
