So I installed this Ford Racing tune this morning. You have to download the Pro Cal 4 software to your PC first. That software has Livernois motorsport listed for the Pro Cal 4. Several Pro Cal updates later, and it's time to hook to the vehicle to save the stock tune. Once saved, you attach the Pro Cal to you PC to retrieve the Ford Performance tune. Then back to the vehicle to flash the new tune.
I can't say I feel a night and day difference in the truck. I have been running 93 octane in the Ranger, so my gains feel small. My seat of the pants dyno tells me I feel an increase in torque. Trans is still relearning, but does not feel much different. Throttle response feels improved.
I need to put some more learning miles on the truck. I can't say I'm real impressed. My truck is broken in at 8200 miles. But hey it's a warranty legal tune, so I'm sure they are keeping things on the safe side.
