Early on (almost a year ago now) I said I wasn't going to Lift or Level my truck. So today I got these. Oh well. I am allowed to change my mind right? I have a trip planned for next month. I am not sure if I will get them installed before that or after.

Received my black Putco bumper grille. Not much to it and it’s pretty light but I’m sure it’ll look good when I get it in!

Somewhere on this forum is a statement by me saying that a tonneau cover is not something for me. Want to guess what the first accessory was that I added to my truck?

Hi Folks,

I received notice from Arizona DOT that I need to renew my license plate... Expensive! I opted for the 5 year renewal.... A mere $2100! Yikes! :frown::frown::frown:

WOW, I could register 3 vehicles and pay 1.5 years of my property taxes for that and still have $300 change. That hurts Phil

WOW, Phil. I'm sure AZ is a beautiful place to live, but hearing this really makes me glad I live in Texas. Just annual inspection and registration renewal at about $85 in the DFW area. We may have other fees/taxes that fill that gap that you might not, however.

Wow, Phil that is expensive. Do they charge weight fees since it is a truck?

Just paid my 2 yr renewal which was $235 including $80 county add on to the state fees.

Hi Steve,

There is a valuation part of the fee which reduces on a sliding scale. For example, when we arrived in Arizona in our Motorhome, I inquired of ADOT about license for the motorhome... It was $4000 per year as the valuation of $250,000. I stayed with Michigan as I own a condo there...only $650 per year. Now some 15 years later, I tagged it in AZ as Michigan was still $650 and AZ had dropped to $250... Arizona is not all that cheap a place to live...Food is higher priced than Michigan. Fuel is relative cheap. Housing is on the low side and taxes are half for my house than my tiny little Michigan Condo.

I finally installed the diamondback cover and cab guard. I still need to adjust the rear panel for a tighter seal but it started raining. So good enough for today.

One thing I've learned in life - if they don't get you one way, they will get you another. :)

One thing Oregon has that is nice - a new vehicle registration is good for 4 years - we have to do a smog check every renewal, so being able to go 4 years is really nice.
