Over many years of Ranger ownership, I only found one plastic model. And, it was cheap and ill-made. Even talked to Ford licensing with no results. Apparently, Ford is doing more to push this one.

Just got mine. Saved the original box but it is now on my Bookcase over my computer. No...it is not white platinum like mine but very cool and my wife has come around to say it is very cute!

When painting how do you protect the decals. I was thinking of applying a very small amount of grease to the decal. Any other ideas?

im not sure if it will work on here, but i once took a photo of a decal i definately needed and a replacement wasnt available....printed it off on adhesive backed label, trimmed it with an exacto knife and re-applied.
I may try it for this when i get mine and paint it.

That's a really good idea.

In fact, I'll take credit for it once I do it.

Hi Adam,

Yep...mine has a clutch pedal too. Never saw the dash or the steering wheel with the little Ford oval....Very cool!

Hi Phil!! This thing actually has a lot of detail that is hard to see. The wheels have a Ford logo in the middle where they are on the truck and on the dash above the glove box has the Ranger logo which is REALLY hard to see unless you hold the truck at the correct angle and in the light.
These details are very faint, but they are there.

There was a TV show called Car Crazy . Some of you may recall. I once remember the host Barry Meguiar describing a restored car as being a 50 foot car. Meaning that it looked ok from 50 feet. Just don't look too close.
Well that is about how my paint job turned out. It looks OK if you stand back far enough. Thus the long shot and not a close up. Unfortunately my hands are not as steady as they once were.
