I agree with article for the most part on pedestrian and smaller car safety and to some degree the pollution part (though modern trucks can be pretty clean if not modded by cavemen and are maintained well). Remember, I only got my truck to tow trailers. If I didn't want to do that, I would just have more cars. But, I didn't oversize the truck beyond my needs (could have gotten a DWR SuperDuty). Trailer I had to move at the time was over 5k, found it to be over 6k, so the 7.5k towing of the Ranger is about perfect.
