I thought this was a forum to share information with others. Not make fun-fun and plague the forum with irrelevant chatter. I’ll play though!
But it’s our irrelevance that makes this forum so much fun-fun.

Did someone say "irreverent chatter"? Sounds like me as a kid making funs of nuns and priests (but they always won with their rulers, chew counting, and standing with extended arms holding books tactics).

Now if you want irrelevant, I just won't stand for that - I only stay laser-focused on critical Ranger
topics and solutions ... ask anyone. =D

this is irreverent!

Sharing....a big YES !!!
But sharing something you did, and than keep pushing it on us even though we consider it a bad idea...a big NO.
There comes a point where you have to realize that, as in this case, there are dozens and dozens of us who have used the brands, that were R&D'd for the Rangers for years, with great success.
While your idea may hold merit for you, and your happy with the outcome, it's just not for the rest of us.
My case....I have the Sumo's, and would never consider using what you proposed, and I doubt there is one other member here who would/will try it.
Let it go, join the group, share, poke fun, and enjoy the camaraderie here.
I do not know when I pushed this on anybody. What I did do is state how it is, how they perform in my situation, and how happy I am with them. Never have I said these are the only way to go and you suck if you don’t. Only defending the facts.

I will give you the fact that you did not "PUSH" them on anybody. But, you did go on to cut down every other option and ARGUE about how bumpstops work with no factual evidence, simply anecdotal evidence of your own experience. You did come across as very antagonistic and resorted to name calling. If you had simply brought it up as an option that you found and liked, you would have been accepted much better.

Well, yeah, that’s how it started and then, when others didn’t share your opinion and stated their reasons, you got your back up and started calling names. Since then there’s been a lot of snark, attitude, and back-handed comments about age.

We’ve seen folks like you come and go - certainly nothing new to the rest of us. Just another profile name we’ll be seeing in bold, italic, strike through font soon enough.

They are bumpstops. They literally do the same thing as other bumpstops. Bottom out protection.
I almost missed this, since your post got deleted for all the BS you posted in it, but.....

Since, as you say, forums are for sharing information, let's address this statement. Even though it has already been covered a couple of times, I think it is important enough to pull out all on its own so people can understand.

It USED TO BE, that all bumpstops were used for was to provide protection for the axles and shocks from bottoming out and metal-to-metal contact.

What you have yet to acknowledge and seem hell-bent on debating, is that technologies and engineering have moved on.

The Tacoma, that you are sooooo fond of, uses short, stiff bumpstops that are only there for that protection.

The 2019+ American Ford Ranger uses them for that as well....

BUT

They are also used as a supplemental spring in the suspension design. They are used to provide additional spring rate so that you can have a comfy ride most of the time with a softer spring.

The suspension is designed to have this additional, supplemental spring rate

I've already stated that if you upgrade springs and if you custom valve your shocks then you could consider ditching the extra spring rate of that 'factory design', but by then you are headed deep for a custom-designed setup. And even then! people that get that far into the design don't use shorter/stiffer stops. They go to hydraulic/nitrogen-charged units.

You swapped out your one Ford suspension for another Ford suspension that was deigned to use an extended bumpstop/jounce bumper.

You've repeatedly ignored any of that logic and instead keep calling names and professing about how great your 'option' is when it is ill suited to the vast majority of what people are trying to accomplish. The people that want to take it far enough that they're doing custom spring packs and custom valved shocks aren't coming to an internet forum for advice. The people looking for advice that are coming here are looking for safe and proven things that won't hurt their trucks, backs, or wallets (from having to buy the same part twice).

Just drove my truck. It fell apart. Bolts everywhere. Warrantee gone.
Do not install these bumpstops. They are a part made for Toyotas.

Kidding.
Been playing with it a lot and haven’t found any downsides. More useable leaf spring before contact is made. Loaded about 10 cases of beer in the bed and hit some hefty bumps faster than I would have liked to see if I would “end up in the weeds”. Nope. These are softer and more compliant than stock. Don’t get me wrong, you feel when you hit the stop, as you should. However, the material is way more compliment yet supportive. You don’t get a harsh hit like the stock stops that have you say, “ahhh my kidney.”
After I drank all the beer, the ride was even better. Kidding again.
Unloaded the bed so I just had my shell. Drove even faster through some small whoops. Continuous cycle of the suspension and continuous contact with the bumps, no bucking of the rear end and certainly smoother. Better yet, I have about 1.5-2 more inches before my shock bottoms. Go me.

Now I’m clearly no profession, I just tune, rebuild, and sale suspension for other people’s money. I will say that these would be not good for towing with a high tongue weight. You would have a pretty significant amount of squat and your leaf springs may shed some tears. Would it work? Yep. Would it be comfortable? Probably not.

Something else to note: Raptor bump stops also work great on our setups. I was torn between those and the superbumps. Although, the Raptor bump stops (I believe they are timbren) are shorter. These are the bumps sold with a very prestigious set of leaf springs. I wanted a bit more contact and a slower ramp up, so I went with the superbumps.

I’ll keep proving people wrong with updates on the terrible performance of these crappy Toyota bumpstops.
