Anyone know lead time on new orders?

While the discounts on 2019’s were (at some dealers) attractive, I’ve decided to order a 2020 Ranger exactly like I want it. Talked with two dealers today who told me (I realize they want a sale today) 12-14 weeks and 15-16 weeks lead time on a new order. Sounds ridiculous to me, but I thought maybe someone here could give me a reasonable idea. Thanks in advance for your help!

Not sure exactly what the lead times are for 2020s but for the 2019s it was a minimum of 12 weeks or longer. Mine took 16 weeks almost to the day.

One thing I learned was you have to have patience when ordering.

Mine was right around 12 weeks. The process and anticipation is actually kind of fun. Order what you want and never look back.

Here's my synopsis on the 2020 S/Cab I ordered:

• order placed on 8/20/19
• order acknowledged by Ford on 8/23/19
• VIN issued on11/20/19
• vehicle produced on11/25/19
• vehicle shipped on 11/26/19

My expected delivery date is 1/15/20, but realize that it has to travel almost 5K miles to my location (Honolulu, HI).
Of course, your shipping time period should be significantly less than mine.
Currently, my truck is sitting on the docks in San Diego, CA, it arrived there on 12/19/19 and is expected to be loaded onto a Pasha RORO on 1/08/20, the voyage will take 5-6 days.

Go ahead and order your 2020 with confidence, your dealer is being realistic, but with 2020 production in full swing now your actual delivery may be quicker.

By all means, ask questions about your build here on this forum, it's members are THE most informed concerning a 5G Ranger.

Agree with the others and think the 8-12 weeks like they told me was pretty accurate. I was 10 weeks.

I ordered my Lariat Super Crew 4X4 the third week of October. It's scheduled to be built the 23rd of this month. Who knows how long it will take to be shipped and delivered.

I ordered mine may 1st. Picked it up from the dealer on July 26th.

No clue on the 2020s

I spoke with a Ford representative today, and was told that as things stand with current production, to expect 8 to 10 weeks.
