Got my OEM Engine Cover in the mail today......

My frontier is missing its engine cover as well. But sad thing is, they only charge $50-$65 where as ford charges absurdly higher.

Before I traded my ranger I happened to spot 4 little paw prints on top of the cover. The kicker? No trail leading to or from that spot and the hoodliner appeared untouched.

Like it materialized out of thin air and vanished the same. Really been bothering me deep in the back of my mind...

New spark plugs from Rock Auto. Get ‘em changed sometime this weekend. Wish me luck on #4 with the tubing in the way.

The boots looked like new but there was the typical discoloration on the insulators. Not bad for 74,000 miles though.

Reminds of when another member was going to take his Mustang to a show but it was raining so he left it at home and decided to drive his Ranger there and just look at cars. The parking marshals saw his tricked out Ranger, figured he was there to show it and directed him to the appropriate area. All he wanted to do was park but he took home hardware. ?

I think it was @Glocker, or maybe @Fawnbuster . Anyway, they both have great looking trucks.

Looks like it includes the hardware which is a plus...some owners have received the covers without it. Do you plan to add a strip of split pipe insulation to the seam on the firewall for extra water dripping protection?

That split pipe insulation doesn't stay put on mine for more than a month. I have two sitting on my garage floor, bereft of stickiness.

I was hoping that the engine heat would fuse the sticky seal into a stronger bond?
