Was taking a walk with the kid when we came across this old '65 GMC pickup, and chatted with the owner for a while. He got it as an old rust-bucket, and restored it (and upgraded a bit) with his grandson, but he still considers it a "working truck" rather than a showroom piece. The speakers on top are wired into the in-dash CD player, so that he can blast music during parades, car shows, etc. He let the kid get in and pretend to drive it some, too.

Funny how that front end looks like a mixture of old and new Chevys.

he did a nice job on that truck! bodies like that with more curves, bends and angles are tough to get looking straight / clean. on most modern cars the body shapes are all pretty gradual and bath tub shape. so if something is not lined up right it does not show as bad. older ones like that show a 1/4 inch off like its a foot off.

Spent 75 minutes on the phone with tech support; since every 10 minutes with tech support takes a year off of your life, I'm now 7.5 years older than I was this morning. Having martinis to compensate for lost time.

Installed a full size spare (235/75/15), replaced console latch, put in a console tray, and installing a rear cargo area storage bag on the new to me pristine 1998 Cherokee Classic. My mother is the original owner and I’ve been trying to buy this Cherokee for 10+ years ?. She wouldn’t sell, but last week decided to quit driving so she gave me the Jeep and my brother her 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport.

The Cherokee only has 109k miles. When I fixed 3 of the automatic locks a couple weeks ago I discovered there wasn’t even any dust behind the door panels. Garage kept and literally driven by a little old lady ?

Next up is replacing the tired rear leaf springs, front coils and coil isolators. When I pulled the original donut spare it looked and smelled new, but was flat ? It had never been out of the vehicle!

Going to be my daily driver. Ranger will become my trip and fishing/hunting vehicle.
