I laugh, up here in New England these are everywhere (the 2000's aero F-150's) still but with frame rot and no rocker panels. Your truck is in great shape!Replacing a 2000 Ford F-150 XL short wheel base 4x4. It’s for sale

Yeah it was a manual. It was also a single cab which is why I couldn't get the 4.0 in the first place. I never really had any problems with it but 150'ish horsepower was also fine for me at the time. What I thought was bizarre was that it was an XLT but I had manual floppy mirrors and no power windows or locks. I would've figured that'd be standard for XLT trim like it was on the F-150s of the era.Yeah, I was disappointed that it had no tach, even for an XLT, could be that it was an automatic, or Ford decided to go 'thrifty' and not include one.
Even the pre-2000 models had the much safer amber rear turn signal lens separate from the tail/stop lite lens, a practice they abandoned in 2000.
Was your 3.0 a stick?
Does the Ranger feel much smaller?Replacing a 2000 Ford F-150 XL short wheel base 4x4. It’s for sale

Nope, in my opinion it feels bigger. The F150 has a leveling kit with 305/70/16 tires and the ranger sits just as tall. The F150 fits in my standard garage with 1ft of walking room in the back. The Ranger barely fits with 4-6” to spare.Does the Ranger feel much smaller?
I traded a 2017 Chevy Colorado Z71 in on a new 2019 Ranger XLT. I absolutely loved my Colorado and it was a great truck. I was looking to trade it in on a new one as I had over 75,000 miles in 2 years and 2 months. However, $9,500 in Ranger incentives had me make the change. There are things I like better with the Ranger and some things I like better with the Colorado. They are very similar in many aspects. G.B.![]()
