I found out that the issue is due to low battery. I had a similar issue and have a bit of an article here about it.

Recently, I got a new set of hearing aids. About then, I noticed that the warning sounds I get from my front bumper sensors have gone tinny. I just assumed it was my hearing aids failing to process the sounds correctly. Yesterday I asked my wife if the alarms sounded tinny and she said yes. About 18 months ago I got a new SYNC module, but the sounds changed much more recently that that.

Has anyone else had an issue like this?

HA mine does that now and then, and we just shrug it off as the truck being a bit weird that day. (The battery was replaced before we bought the truck according to the CarFax so likely not a low battery issue for mine)
