Anyone have an issue with your warning chime getting high pitched? Also noticed that the ASS turned itself on after I turned it off…?

Mine will to this every once in a while and haven't figured out why. They'll turn into high pitched beeps and it's super annoying.

As far as the A/S/S is it turning on after you've already pushed the button? Is the light still on or have you shut the truck off and restarted it?

It's using the little speaker in the dash instead of the stereo speakers. As to why? I blame gremlins.

I shut it off and the symbol goes away then, when I put the truck in park, the symbol re-appears without any type of message on the dash. Crazy huh?

Have you checked the connection on the battery where the BMS connects on the top? If that's not loose then your Ranger is possessed.

I have wondered myself many times

My speculation is it has to do with low battery, however just speculation. May be unrelated. Happens intermittently

Retired, work is a four letter word.
I turned off every chime except 'Key In w/door open" as they drive me nuts, also turned off ASS.

I don't think its that (at least for mine) because I had a new battery installed and keep it on a maintainer and it still does it. It seems to do it when I shut off the truck then turn it on again quickly.

I'm laughing so hard I can't even make a damn joke about turning an ASS off or on. Maybe as I read on someone else will do it for me.

I use a nightlight to disable A/S/S but the chimes for the front and rear sensors is where I get the high pitched sounds from. I do like these as people here will just walk and drive in front or behind you without even looking so I leave them on.

I noticed in the settings I could make the chimes play through stereo speakers (default) to just module speaker. If I remember right that what it sounded like. Just can’t remember if I got to that setting from the dash menu or Sync system.

Forscan if you have it would definitely help here

I’ll definitely check when I get home, thanks!
Here's what you're looking for, start at the 6;30 mark. Hopefully that's it for the A/S/S issue.

I wasn't referring to the pedestrian warning or rear cross traffic alerts. I meant the rear seat, door opening, start up, and key in door closed chimes as well as the 'Hello" chimes, way to much!
