New here guys and have read that there is issues when starting from a stop a vibration is felt. Well I got that issue and have read that it may be drive shaft angle and ford has a TSB on it that supposed to fix it with proper shimming of the rear.. I checked the angle and is over 8* and ford says it should be between 5 and 6. So I guess I will see what ford says about it..I see that most say it does not fix the issue and some have replaced the 2 piece shaft with a 1 piece but I really done want to spend $700 on a new DS for a new truck.
So anyone here have anything good to say about this issue?
Thanks guys

Well I stoped by the local dealer on the way home and made an appointment.
First thing he asked me after I told him is “does the truck have a lift kit?”
He asked him about the trans and he said there’s 3 updates and he will check and do the updates..
Let’s see what happens..

So, is your truck lifted?

it could be the center support bearing is worn out or defective. worth checking out. if its floppy and sloppy its the problem.

Well I hope the center bearing is not shot as the truck only had 3600 miles on it

There is a TSB on the vibration problem. I believe it's TSB #22-2051. I'm taking mine in on Thursday to get diagnosed, and hopefully, fixed. You can get a copy of the TSB here: Ford TSB TSB 22-2051 — 2022 Ranger | CarComplaints.com

Dropped my truck off at the dealer this morning so they could check out the vibration. Received a call at 1:00 that my pinion angle is off. They told me that they have to order parts. Parts won't be here til Monday morning. Wants me to leave the truck there so they can start on it early.

I'll post the results after they fix it and pick I it up. (Got all my fingers and toes crossed that it fixes the vibration. :)

I'm think in cases where the TSB didn't work it is due to tech incompetence, or the TSB isn't really a fix but a bandage.

Dave, did they say what it was? As far as angle? I checked mine out in the garage as the TSB said and it’s over 8* and supposed to be between 5&6*…

I didn't ask and they didn't say. They just said it was off. I'll ask what it was before they fixed it when I pick it up.

How did you “check your angle to come up with 8 degrees? And is that negative or positive 8? I’m not sure you’re measuring correctly or something is way off. Just curious what process you used to get there.

I drag raced for many years with cars running in the 7’s at over 170mph so pinion angle is something I know about and have always had to set when changing 4 link bars. So with that said according to Ford they say to put a digital angle finder on the frame, zero it then put it on the U-joint cup with the cup facing parallel to the ground and read angle..With it on a level surface Of course..We used to do it with the drag car by putting it on the trans face not the frame..
