I mean, yes, that's what a forum is for. But usually "modifying the functionality" of a vehicle is for people with at least a basic understanding of vehicles.

You think your XLT has rain sensing or Auto wipers, and you don't think your Ranger has a turbo.

You need to start with an intro to automotive theory first.

Modifying your trucks functionality because you can't figure out the on/off switch is throwing the baby out with the bath water.
Again, I understand how the wipers work, they just don't. I'm OK with automotive theory. I learned to drive on a 1970 F-250. No power steering, manual transmission, no anti-lock brakes. I did auto shop in HS, back when they taught that and do my own routine maintenance. Anything involving a lift or tools I do not own, I bring in. I understand how it all works, or how it is supposed to work. I work in technology, and even though I love the tech in my vehicle, there's too much of it. Many would disagree. After 20 years in IT, I have learned that the more you automate processes, the less control you have over them in the long run. Not needed for that in basic vehicle functions, IMHO.

IT IS NOT AUTOMATED!

YOU DO NOT HAVE RAIN SENSING WIPERS!

IT IS A SIMPLE SWITCH.

IT'S EITHER BROKEN OR YOU ARE!

Not aware of any vehicles old or new that have NO stalks whatsoever behind the steering wheel. And stupid shifting dials, especially when they are on the dash, is a real design flaw. It’s satisfying to grab a shifter and put er in gear.

I can move the shifter in my Ranger with a single finger, not even having to press the button to move it. Not too satisfying. Slap-shift? 4x4 shifter has been a dial for a long time. Last truck I had with a separate gear lever to engage 4WD was a '97 F-150 XL.

Despite all of the efforts in my state to prevent left turns, sometimes they are necessary.
3 rights make a left... just something I learned while riding a motorcycle.

Cop once asked why I made an illegal left. I told him that I didn't need to go right. Can't go left by going right.

I'm going to have to agree with @D Fresh there's a problem with your Ranger... I have a 2021, I'm 6'6" 250lbs and never have a problem bumping the stalk...

I personally wouldn't take it to the dealer, as I try to do all my work myself...

There's probably a fuse for it, but it's likely connected to more than just the wipers....

6'6", do you bump your head while getting in/out too? Hit head on ceiling when you go over a decent bump?

Nope, I have plenty of headroom in this truck! Do you have your seat lowered all the way down? That was one of the first things I did.

It does seem that way, doesn't it? Or maybe that other guy they banned a few weeks ago...? Very trollish with the questions he's asking....
