I am not familiar with tuners nor do i want a tune. Is it possible to use the nGauge interface to change the tire size without purchasing a tune?

Definitely- the nGauge will allow you to change tire size, set up Bambi mode, and disable the double honk on vehicle exit with the key in your pocket.

Those are the things you can edit besides the vehicle tune. And of course, its a pretty great multi function gauge (you can display up to 6 ecu parameters plus shift lights).

Still with a $30 cable and Forscan, you could do a lot more. But if you have the means, the nGuage is a pretty fun gadget to have. no reason why it wouldn’t work without flashing a tune. Not sure where to buy w/o a tuner involved, though.

Good to hear as an option with some good ongoing functionality. Forscan is not playing well with my windows 8. Not wanting another pc device or new phone at this point in time.

I'm using a Hypertech Speedo Tuner as well. Works great and speedo is dead on. Picked it up used on eBay, unlocked/unmarried for $140.

I bought the hyper tech speedometer calibrator and it works like a charm. All you do is enter your tire size. I have 33” tires on my 19 ranger and it was reading 5 mph slow but now I have it set perfectly.

I myself am wanting to get bigger tires with a lift when the so-called money gets too me, but for calibrating the speedometer you will have to get an aftermarket deal to do so at this time. any dealer that says they can calibrate it using the factory scan tool is fooling you at this time because I work at a dealer and the F.D.R.S. currently does not have the programming in it to do so yet. Too my knowledge Ford is currently working on this but no promises.
