Seems to me the shop should eat the labor of 70.00 as they should have known to check the carrier for correct angle and informed you about the possibility of a problem, or at least 1/2 off labor charge. Shop should have test drove it too just to see if things were okay and the mechanic may have noticed it from the start.
When a shop does lifts they should know their business, these vehicles are expensive and there would be no manufacturer warranty if things went south in a hurry.
I would be grrr if that happened to my little big man after I had a lift done to him.
Just saying, good luck!

Someone recorded a video under their Ranger and posted it in the 2019+ Ford Ranger Club USA Facebook group. His truck is lifted both front and rear, and you can visibly see where the problem lies. No his truck isn't stock, but I am willing to bet money that lifting will exaggerate the issue that some of us are feeling on our stock Rangers. Here is a link to his video, give it a watch as it is very interesting. I should note too, that my Ranger does this (all stock) and it is amplified when I'm pulling my trailer.

That video camera is slick. Sure beats strapping Robert Deniro to the floorboards... when you're headed to Cape Fear.

"Little big man"... . I smile whenever I read that. That's what I call my grandson.

I can’t disagree with any of that ..
They did test drive after alignment but clearly checked that and nothing else

HI Jeff,

Yep....two piece driveshaft with center bearing...

I read through this thread, I did an add a leaf and left my shims in to get is a little higher in the rear, I didn't have a shudder before and now I do off the start. My bet is if I go and take out the 3/4"ish shims I'll probably get the drive shaft back into the recommended angle, But how bad is the "shudder" for the health of the vehicle, its only on the start and I dont mind it.

Hi Alex,

Likely no harm...Just an irritation to some folks.

Alex if pinion angle is out of spec it will cause u joint premature wear.
