The forum user I bought the decked system from he generally sells for 30% below new on his used parts. Pretty realistic outlook. Hard pill to swallow that for every $10,000 you sink, you can maybe squeeze $3,000 back out.
That's a pretty good outlook in my opinion. Maybe a bit low though depending on how used. Keeps the bullshit of selling it to a minimum, and moves it fast. I'm not trying to dick around d with shit forever.

When I sell car stuff my goal is for the person who eventually buys it to think to themselves "that's a really good price and might not be around long."

Our forum is not huge but I sold my swingboxes here in one day using this philosophy.

Well the dealer I am getting the Raptor from quoted me about $29,000 to convert it all back, or $34,000 as is.

Which isn't too bad, at around 50% return rate. Only question is do I want to through the hassle of replacing certain items at current market cost. The ease of off-loading it as-is would be nice, but that would give me a bunch of down time camping as I rebuild and reconfigure with new products and raw building material.

I think more than likely I am going to scavenge everything but the suspension and wheels as pretty much everything else can be converted over to the new truck either directly, or with very minimal modification since the over-all dimensions are nearly the same.

I think I recall him saying they can give me a grand or two ontop of the stock trade in if I leave the wheels and stuff on.

i would want to keep it. maybe wife or child would like to drive it. never hurts to have a back up vehicle. or at least keep it while removing stuff and adding to the new one.
