Driving to work this morning in a heavy rain a contractor truck pulling a trailer of cinder blocks lost part of its load and cinder blocks all over the highway.

I just have a 2WD Ranger but I saw a gap and was able to straddle some cinder blocks.

Whew! I got to work and it stopped raining so I gave my truck a good look over and didn’t see any damage.

I think I would have heard and felt something if I did.

Anyway, if I was in my wife’s Honda Fit, it wouldn’t have fared so well.

Glad to hear it worked out. Flip side of that is when I was a kid, my troop went camping. One Scouter had a Jeep Cherokee, and had a table strapped to the roof; not well enough, it seems, because it flew off behind him. Second Scouter was following in his BMW 3-series, and it was low enough that the table flew over his car, and then ended up underneath the car behind him. Both cars were full of kids, too. No one got hurt, but that could have ended up a whole lot worse.
