Do you notice the added weight when driving?

I've been looking at aftermarket rims and tires. Both add weight so I was curious about the weight of stock tremor wheels. Seems the rims are quite a bit lighter than even the lightest aftermarket rims, which I've seen to be around 27 lbs, give or take, but generally, most are quite a bit heavier. General's aren't the lightest tire so if I went with a Tremor rim and one of the lighter tires - Toyo and a few others, I can keep the tire weight in the low 40's for a combined weight in the range of 67-70 lbs which is pretty respectable. Glad I know the Tremor rim weight now, but yes, Hankook's at 35 lbs is about as light as it gets for tires so I'd be adding roughly 7 lbs of unsprung mass.

You will most definitely notice any rolling weight you add. I have done it to many vehicles in the past. The turbo will help to a greater margin but the difference will be there.

It is probably a bit slower, but not very noticeable. I usually don't try to race, so I really haven't noticed any difference in acceleration. I have also noticed no difference in braking. I'll bet the biggest area I notice the difference is in the fuel gauge. If I had to guess now, I think mpg is down @ a half mile per gallon. I only have @ 40 miles on the truck since the tire/wheel swap, so I'll have a better idea in a week.

I'm going from the 18 inch rims with the hankook (66lbs) to tremor rims and 265/70/17 ko2 for a total of 71 lbs. Hopefully it all works out with getting the new tires today. ?

Nice...Let us know if you can feel the difference. Also curious if you can feel more tire squish going from 18 to 17's.

Ecceleration is the same thank God and it does have a softer ride to it.

I have the stock Tremor wheels and tires on my Ranger. I just had a pull a tire off and remembered this tread. On my bathroom scale, it weighed 73.2 lbs.

The Method 316’s are 23.5 lbs. 17x8 +25, information from their website.

If you really wanna spend some money on wheels. Volk Te37 has a set for trucks that are about 17lbs. But it will cost you 3-4k.
