Hi everyone,
I have a '22 Tremor with stock wheels and suspension. I go off-road for 4-8 hours about once a month on average. 36k miles. No added weight, no towing.

I've been reading about the FOX 2.0 I have now - that they need "serviced" after 30-50k miles. Rather than go without for a couple weeks, I'm thinking I maybe just replace them... but with what? I could then keep the 2.0's to use when the others need serviced.
I'd love to have a smoother ride on the road - seems like I feel every bump. The phrase that others have used is "floaty, not boaty". What is recommended for a soft road ride that won't break the bank, and would perform comparable to the Fox off-road?
I was originally thinking with the Fox 2.5's, but I cannot cost justify the 2.5's with DSC.

I wouldn't mind getting lifted 1 inch or so, too. Sounds like that can be done with shocks...? Any other parts needed to do that? Any other adjustments required? I think I saw that they're only needed if going more than 1-2 inches on a Tremor.

It is very personal - check out some of the videos by shock surplus. Lots of good information on all the big names - kings, icon, bilstein, fox, eibach etc.

Depends on what you plan to spend your money on. Personally I am not a fan of Fox just for the fact that you are required to rebuild them frequently with 50/50 On and OffRoad use and Fox already states to have them serviced at 10K with that use.

Now as to a surprise to some(scary I know) I would recommend Dobinsons shocks at the least. Chances are you may need to get new front springs as well since I suspect the factory coils will not fit(many will be like that). They do have monotube shocks available along with coil springs and leaf springs. I recently just installed a set of twin tubes from them on my old Pathfinder and I like the feel of them vs the Old Man EMU Nitrocharger shocks. I have also seen a post(can't remember where but it was a different Forum) where.someone liked the Dobinsons Monotube compared to the Fox 2.0.

Here is a link to the page that shows what they have available. Hopefully it helps.

EDIT: at the moment Dobinsons has a sale of 15% off that is applied automatically at checkout. This is for the entire month of November

You could go all out and install kings.
