AT wins a chicken dinner for being closest to the actual issue - same sound and location, different bits.

Hmmm, could it be the front exhaust hanger is in a slightly different location on a 2WD than on a 4x4 because of the diff or t-case and the aftermarket company used a 4x4 as their guide? Or, the mfg offers a 2WD and a 4x4 version and you weren’t asked to select 2WD?

I read an article with this but it does not mention what year or generation of Rangers…

At the time of purchase, MBRP only offered 2 options- super cab and crew cab. Maybe it is in a slightly different spot on a 2WD vs a 4WD, but it’s can be easily relocated regardless.
