fretting dust sticks better than bear sh*t to rabbit fur. Its worse than brake dust, and unless you are actively wiping and scrubbing it, it would remain evident in your picture of the dirty leaf springs.

Glad I'm working on my truck and not you... you were WAY wrong on that assessment .

Got the Dobinsons set of bushings in.

Took the shackle off and Ford Assembly 100% didn't put one in from factory on day 1. Metal is dang near a mirror finish on the spring and shackle where it was rubbing for the last year and a half.

Also, unfortunately I'd have to disagree with Phil on this one. None of the bushings are pressed, they are all split bushings, so there's no way this wasn't anyone but the Ford Line's fault. Can't even get the shackle on and off the frame without those bushing popping out.

The Dobinsons urethane bushings definitely look and feel to be better quality than the OEM rubber. Only had time to do the one problem set tonight. Will get the other bushings in at a later date.

thats fine, I had one picture to go by. I'm not worried if you think you're better than me. Here's your trophy ?. Just remember how long you drove it with the problem and never figured it out till now.
I was going off my lifelong experience as a mechanic. Sometimes we can be wrong. Tomorrow, I'll forget about your bushing again.
