and this morning, they are all synced up with nothing done on my part, when i parked the truck last night, they were all at -- and reporting the tpms system error. this morning.. all there... who knows. the old wheels and tires are still in the garage, about 10ft away, up on a shelf, i couldnt imagine it would be syncing to those again.

I suspect it could pick up 10 ft away. Let us know if it changes again.

I got new wheels and tires last week, i got a new set of ford motorcraft TPMS sensors for the new ones. shop put everything on, and gave me back my old wheels and tires, took them home in the bed of the truck.

On the way home 4 tires were being read by the truck, they said they weren't sure if the programming took because the old ones were still so close. I got home, unload old wheels and tires, put them on a shelf in the garage about 10ft away from the truck. Drive the truck the next day, about 20 mins on the road, i get a TPMS system error and the truck reports no tire pressure data for any of the wheels.

I call the place, they say stop by, they put the truck in programming mode, 3 tires produce a honk and 1 does nothing. I ordered a new TPMS sensor and the little programming tool since it was cheap. Couple days later i go for a drive, 4 tires are reported, fine all day. next day, drive for about 20 mins, and i get the error again, no sensors synced.

The new sensor and remote have not been delivered yet, but anyone have any idea what may be going on? The shop said it would not be picking up the old set of tires because they are too far away (10ft on the shelf) so i dunno.. i hope i dont have to swap out a sensor, and why is it loosing sync with the other 3, even though they produced a toot from the horn? sorry for the long post.
So when I swapped my wheels and tires for my new ones (both oem ford) when I originally did it the ranger wheels read for most of the ride back till they shut off cause of the lack of rolling which turns them on and I believe powers them. My new sensors from the bronco wheels didn't read for a little while until about 30 minutes of driving without the old ones being active for them to pair up automatically and have had no issues since. Ford OEM sensors will sync up to the vehicle automatically without the programming tool if they are actually oem and are working properly.

so it lost the sync on the way home from work, i tested the new tires that are on the truck now with a digital meter, the numbers are way different than what i am getting reported from the sensors, so its still picking up the old ones. so weird. i havent driven on them for almost a week and it holds the sync for about a day before it errors out again, i guess i need to go back to the shop.

the more i am looking in to the reviews of the sensors i got, the more it seems like they are knockoffs or something, lots of 1 star reviews despite other people here saying they work, i guess they are hit or miss. i order a new set of 4 from levittownford... 200 for this set, the set i got before was about 100, trying to get a refund from amazon on those... grrr. and the pain in the ass of getting all 4 tpms sensors swapped out. i hate crap like this.

I am having the same issue with my Tremor wheels. I got them from a Ford Dealership as takeoffs from a new Tremor and they won't program. I took it back to my local dealership and they couldn't get them programmed either.
If I drive more than 20 miles I get the TPMS error but if I leave the truck overnight in the driveway it will pick up the old tires in the garage.

Odd that that would be happening with what i would assume are genuine, working ford tpms sensors. i got a refund from amazon for the 4 i bought, dont have to send them back either.. hope you get yours figured out, i guess im just out of pocket whatever it will cost to switch over the new sensors i have on order. and the time and the hassle.

My son has a tire and service shop and I have never had an issue with the after market sensors that he sells automatically sync up to my Ford and Dodge vehicles.

Since the old wheels arent spinning and havent for some time I can all but guarantee they arent transmitting
nope thats the set of wheels my truck keeps picking up. 34psi on those, 41 on the ones on my truck, i tested them with a digital pressure gauge. so odd.

so i was messing around with my programming remote, i got 3/4 wheels to beep at me. but it looks like none of it stuck? do you have to do all 4 successfully? after i did the 3 that worked i went back in the truck and hit the start button (i have lariat) and it tooted at me. but it still displays the old PSI readings.. i used the brake pedal 3x start button, brake pedal 3x start button method.

Yes, all 4 have to signal a horn for any of them to take is my understanding.
