It's odd that they give specs using a brake controller but don't actually offer one in the tow package. It's like saying the Mustang can do a sub 10 second 1/4 mile*

*Using NOS, a custom supercharger kit and 500lbs weight reduction.
My thoughts exactly.

They do offer a brake controller. It just isn't offered as an OEM order item. It will be available through the dealer parts.

So it looks to me like a f150 brake controller could fit in the space where the USB port pannel is in the front cubby.

Hmmmm...need to find some measurements..

Concerned about towing?

It's almost comical sometimes towing a big box trailer like that. There is so much aero drag that when you let off the gas the trailer stops YOU.

I've come down I-24 from Monteagle, TN towing a 6x12 enclosed and held between 55 and 60 just coasting. Rarely needed the brakes as that big parachute of a trailer kept the speed in check.

I would rather drag a 6000 lb boat instead of an empty box trailer on road trips. That aero KILLS mileage.

Not sure on how "ideal" it is to just push the button down to override/manually engage the trailer brakes.....just don't let your hand slip and hit it. Anyone actually used a set-up like this before ? How sensitive is the button, ie: do the brakes lockup easily if bumped ? Personally, I like the old style with a paddle to squeeze with 2 fingers...better feel of the resistance.

Found this on the Australian Ford site, looks like we'll be sharing a part with the boys down under.
