Looks pretty good and quite secure. Does
Absolutely beautiful! Your logo work is fantastic!

I'd love a set but I don't tow much, so let's see someone that actually does trailer be the testers for you.

You do really beautiful work, wow! =)
Thanks for your compliment David. I love your Red Ranger. I can’t say I’ve seen that many in red but the color really pops. When your ready to tow I could 3d print these in Red plastic instead of black.. ?

I've always wanted a "work" truck for myself and that's the drive behind what I add to it. My old FJ40 is "Vesuvius Red" so getting Race Red is an homage to that great vehicle.

How long does it take to print these? It must be pretty long. But the look totally professional and so well thought out.

I bought the ClearView mirrors last year, and have nothing but praise for them...they are excellent when towing my 8 foot wide travel trailer.
That being said, I have nothing but praise for your design and application for your mirror extension.
No aftermarket makes anything like them, for the Ranger, aside from the normal clip on's that have never worked as good as your do/will, as yours attach and fit the curvature of the OE mirror.
Had something like yours been available at the time I most likely would have been first in line for a set instead of the $1000 ClearView's.
You might think of a patent for your design and maybe profit from other aftermarket companies that might want to produce them.
It is a "nitch" market but I'm sure there are other Ranger owners who would love to have a proper set of clip on's but don't know about your idea/design.
Don't forget...not just the Rangers here in the US, but also Europe, Asia, Australia markets if they use the same OE mirrors.

good question…on low quality resolution they take about 15 hours per pair. High quality takes about double that. So not very efficient but once I get a final design I plan to tweak the print settings to increase speed. I’m in it for the fun factor at the moment but getting the feedback so far maybe I look at taking it more serious. Btw , I can also change the text that’s printed and customize it.?

The mirror is a large stick on type from Amazon you can see it in the picture of the red ranger type. You could really use any bubble type or other stick on you think would work best. Happy to send you the blue ones if you like. It’s been a fun project but they’re just going to sit here collecting dust otherwise ?
Thanks Andrew. I don't expect you to do this for free!! I could have you ship on my UPS account to my office and I could pay with my paypal account. My first trip this year will be in mid May going to the Olympic Peninsula for 3 days and then 3 days at Mt. Rainier. I have my life time National Park Pass and need to use it so I decided to visit the Washington National Parks. I would need a whole week to do Washington's third one, North Cascades National Park. That place is very huge and near the Canada border. I will do that some other time. Maybe fall would be a great time there??

Ok, here’s a pic with the trailer hooked up. Definitely can see more to the side of trailer. Not sure about backing up yet but may try to find a larger mirror To stick on. Stay tuned….

If you could find a larger mirror that would be awesome. I might still end up with clearview's but the extra money we thought we had is vanishing into childcare.

Searching Amazon to see what’s available. Feel free to make a suggest or if you see something that looks like what you’re thinking about, let me know! I’ll have a better idea after this weekend about how it handles the blond spot on highways.

I’ve got a few ready to go but still want to see how they do this weekend. And poke around Amazon for a bigger mirror perhaps.

Andrew, back in Feb of last year, before I bought the Clearview set, I experimented making a set of tow mirrors using some aluminum brackets that I made up. Made them so a bracket could be mounted permentantly to the underside of the OE mirror, and made some detachable brackets with mirrors.
To an extent the worked, but when I used some larger mirrors, they acted as a "sail" and at anything over 50 mph, would cause the mirrors to fold, even against the factory power detents.
If you go larger, don't go overboard as the same thing may happen. Maybe if I had used smaller mirror heads it would have worked better, but my trailer is a full 8 feet wide and I am used to larger mirrors.
As we tow quite a bit, and frequently, when the Clearviews came available for the US, I bit the bullet and bought a set.
As I posted, if yours had been available I would have loved to give them a try....good luck....great idea.

That’s a nice big mirror. That might work but I worry about the “sail” effect. These look promising. I know I can modify the mirror mount to attach these… ?

The one's your looking at are 5" x 7"...one's I used/pictured were 4" x 8", not too much of a difference, and they did act as a "sail". Experiment with yours, but I don't think I'd go too much larger than your present mirror...maybe an inch or so larger height/width.
If you'd like, I think I still have the one's I used...PM me your mailing info and I can send them out to you to play with. Not going to use them and there just sitting in my shed....no charge as your helping other members out.
Their from Amazon...Fit System Clamp On Mirror, CL-082.
