Hi Ranger5g,

I’ve been working on a low profile easy to use tow mirror for the Ranger. Curious to get some feedback, questions and thoughts on the style and to gauge interest on making a few for forum members. Thanks in advance!

Looks pretty good and quite secure. Does it flutter at all at highway speeds?
No flutter at highway speeds. They’re not big enough to really cause any drag and haven’t flipped my mirrors shut at all.

@RangerAJS - Well done Andrew, the design looks really well thought out.

Because you are asking for feedback I looked at it for quite a while and the only thing I could really come up with - without seeing it in action - is perhaps consider adding a parachute buckle or a side-release buckle. I say this because I use a knee brace for exercise that often uses bare velcro straps. Eventually after taking the strap on & off a few hundred cycles the velcro is essentially useless and pops right off. Adding a buckle + velcro would help assure the velcro doesn't fail when it wears prematurely.

Good luck!

I like the concept; it seems fairly easy to use, and as David says, nice and secure.
We could use some pics or video with a trailer, to gauge how well it works.
I’ll get some pics of the and send along. It’s been quite a process learning the 3d printer and this design is version 5.0…..

Excellent feedback! I’ll take a look at Amazon to see if something looks suitable. Thank you!

Ok. Here’s the 2 latest revisions with a Ranger logo. Pictures coming with a view to the rear with my trailer attached. I’ve got 3 sets printed and ready for testing. Thank for th e positive feedback and replies so far. If you might be interested in trying a set, DM me and I can send a out a couple sets.

Absolutely beautiful! Your logo work is fantastic!

I'd love a set but I don't tow much, so let's see someone that actually does trailer be the testers for you.

You do really beautiful work, wow! =)

Andrew, I like the blue ones. I would be willing to take them for a test drive. I have a tent trailer that I use 4 or more times a year. Once I retire it will be even more. Good design on these. Simple yet effective. What are you using for the actual mirror lens? Thanks,

They're looking real good. I'd be interested in a set, but like David, I don't tow enough to be a valuable tester; I've only towed twice in the past year, and they were within two months of each other. I have no idea when I'll tow next. I like the idea of having a simple, easy-to-store set of mirrors though, for when I do have to tow, just like I have a simple tow-hitch for that purpose, too.

The mirror is a large stick on type from Amazon you can see it in the picture of the red ranger type. You could really use any bubble type or other stick on you think would work best. Happy to send you the blue ones if you like. It’s been a fun project but they’re just going to sit here collecting dust otherwise ?

I would like to buy the Red logo ones.
I tow a bass boat albeit short distances but when I come home, backing up is where I need them the most.
PM me, I can use PayPal or whatever.
Thanks.

This is the one thing I miss from my F150, giant tow mirrors. If I towed more often I would ve interested. Good work.

Sounds like we’re in the same boat as I only tow 5 or 6 times per year. 19 ft travel trailer is my future retirement weekend getaway. The mirror is a stick on from Amazon, so you can put any type of bubble type mirror if the one in the picture doesn’t meet the need.

Thank you for compliment. I agree on the huge mirrors. My last truck, an F250 had really nice pull out style like the ones on this forum from the aftermarket.
