How about you find a spot where it always "rubs," stop shortly before and heavily chalk both tires, and stop shortly after to investigate?

I highly doubt stock sized tires on a leveled truck would have any rub unless there is a major problem.

If you're going to be out running experiments - a recording of the sound would help gurus with diagnosis.

It almost sounds like it's catching the fender liner when you're turning sharp. Any way to have someone check it out while you turn it slowly in a parking lot? Maybe they can see/hear it better that way.
This - The boneheads who change my oil at the dealer didn't put the bottom 3 screws back in the rubber flaps on the inside of the wheel well. It didn't rub with my oem 255/65-R17's, but it did with my 265/70-R17's. The first thing I thought was all those guys on Ranger5G were wrong, 265/70-R17's don't fit without rubbing! (insert obscenities) But then I looked and saw the missing screw retainers, popped them back in and all was well. ?

The same thing happened to me with my local dealer. I made them fix it out of principle.

if it is the abs system a test is easy. you have an fx4 so you have all the fancy computer witchcraft.
go to a spot that safe and has a substantial hill. stop about fifty yards before the decline starts. stay in 2wd if paved but push the trail control button and then use the cruise control buttons on the wheel to set your speed some place low like 5 mph. then let of the truck do its thing. it will speed up to 5mph and then as the hill forces the truck to go faster the system will use the brakes and traction systems to slow it back down to 5mph. you will hear and feel the abs system and traction control working to keep the truck at 5mph. if this sound is the same as the one that you are hearing then we know its nothing to worry about. just the fancy tech doing its job.

it is an unsettling sound and feeling the first time. my first try with the trail control thing i was like, "oh no i broke it" then realized it was just the normal sound of the system working. i use it a lot now. works great.

Don't know if this was ever resolved, or if the actual issue was just ABS, but wante to share a solution I came up with incase anyone else comes across. I fitted 0 offset 33s and they rub very slightly on the rearward portion of the fende rliner at full lock. I was able to use a multitool ad belt sander to reduce the tickness of the plastic block, and add rivnuts to it. I also used oversized washers and a couple bolts and now the fende rliner is pulled well out of the way.
