I didn't see the placard. MD drivers like to park in handicap spots all the time. Its ridiculous
Common sense tells me the jackass in the car was there first. The truck had to accommodate the jerk so they could squeeze on.

Truck has a handicapped placard. Perhaps that's the best he can do.
At least he was smart enough to get the end slot so he could be sloppy with his parking and not cost anyone else a space.

Guy in the car has a serious problem...
Yeah, I was about to say that the guy in the truck is over the far line at the end of a row, but that does not hurt anybody, and he may need the extra space, depending on his personal situation, especially since the car guy might have shown up first. But the guy in the car is over the line into a handicapped space, which is totally inconsiderate and probably illegal....

This picture should make Tracy @Tracy Bowman feel so much better about her parking job. :giggle:

Edit: Tracy I hope you know I'm only kidding always picking on your parking job, it's just fun to remind you of it. ?
That’s alright. At least I park between the lines, even if it is crooked. :sunglasses:

Dislike. My mother in law had ataxia and was wheelchair bound in her last few years. My wife would get irate at people parking in handicap spots without a placard or taking up the designated loading area in between spots because it happened so often when they went places. I totally supported her anger.

I'm glad you didn't key his car. In addition to a strong talking to, I would have taken his picture and a picture of the car (hopefully showing where he was parked and that he was able bodied) and posted them on the NextDoor app.

They give out handicap placards for being fat now a days.
I've seen many an able-bodied person person with a placard or plates park in a handicapped spot and stroll into a store just like it was nothing.

While I don't want to discount that SOMEONE in that family may have need of the placard/plates, it boggles my mind that others take advantage of that when they obviously are fine to park somewhere else.

Met a double amputee - he uses hand controls to drive - walks with prosthetics - parks in regular spots because “I can walk and there is always someone who needs that spot more than I do”.

Kinda says it all.

Thanks for sharing - I bet you have some stories.

When I was a teenager, my girlfriend’s mom had a friend with a spinal cord injury and he used two crutches and custom leg braces. The braces fit over the heels of his boots and kind of looked like spurs. He drove an old van and one time, fell out the door on a clover leaf exit ramp. Without his crutches, he lay there on the side of the ramp until EMS arrived. They asked him if he was okay.

He was a bit of a character - first words out of his mouth?

I can’t feel my legs!
